Dear aspirant,

College of engineering ,pune takes admission on the basis of JEE mains scores . They would prepare a merit on the basis of these scores and then you would be able to take admission on the basis of choices filled during counselling.

But it may vary depending on certain factors like number of candidates appearing in the counselling, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs.

Hello,

Yes you may get admission against the seats reserved for ‘All India Candidate'.

If you are not domiciled in Maharashtra, or your parents not being related to Maharashtra in any way then you can claim your candidature as an ‘All India Candidate’ . You need to be an Indian National with the necessary score in 12th, JEE or MHCET, in this case the MHCET exam will be applicable.

All students from all state can apply . But for students from other state the intake is very low I mean maximum students are from maharashtra, since preference is given to students who are domiciled in Maharashtra.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

COEP was established in 1854, the third oldest college in Asia. According to the HRD ministry ranking of engineering colleges , COEP lands at the 21st position. NIT Warangal which is supposed to be one of the better NITs lands at the 28th position.

NITs get direct funding from the  central government which enables them to provide many facilities. COEP being an autonomous college has a good curriculum and well thought out syllabus.

Not all NITs are superior to COEP, but if you still want to go for an NIT then go for the top 10s or the old and famous ones over COEP. COEP is just as good a college, and being in the shadows of the IITs and NITs COEP's ranking and the constant comparison gives us an idea about the reputation that COEP holds.

Hope this helps!
