Hello Aspirant,

In an admission process there are seat reserved or divided for home state students which means students who have passed their 11th and 12th from that state itself are eligible for that seat. Eligibility criteria is different for different admission process. The students who are from that particular state in which the university is present will get first chance for admission into it and that university is home state university for them.

The cut off is not affected but the students of home state are given first preference and their admission is done first in the university.

Regards.

Dear Abubakr,

Yes definitely you can get admission in other institute.

Only you need to do is get your migration certificate from your last attended school and submit it in your current school/college.

Hope this has solved your query.

All the Best!!

Hello,

College Of Engineering Pune, is one of the best college of Maharashtra.

it gives admission based on your MH-CET and JEE rank/score. 85% Seats are reserved for the MH-CET aspiring students and 15% for the JEE aspiring Students.

Despite we can predict the cut- off criteria as it get changes every year, but still if you want to get admission in this college via JEE mains then you should score decent marks like 180/300 i.e. 98 percentile for general category. As this marks sounds decent enough to get admission.

Thank you!

Dear aspirant,

As you have mentioned that you have secured 185 marks in mhcet and taking into consideration that you are from general category so let me tell you it's pretty good score but it depends on various factors.

It depends on certain factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

For more information you can check out the link given below-

Hey,

The cut off depends on various factors such as:

1. Total no. of applicants in the entrance exam.

2. Previous year cut off trends.

3. The difficulty level of the entrance examination.

4. Availability of seats.

You can refer to the link given below for checking the cut off trends of previous years for all courses in COEP.

You can also go through the link given below for getting detailed information about  MHT CET percentile, marks and rank.

Hello Thube. You mentioned your percentile but didn't mention your caste. So, I assume you are from General category and I will try to give an answer on the basis of this assumption. If you belong to any other category, kindly mention it in the comment box.

Your percentage in HSC is excellent so you have undoubtedly fulfilled that criteria. However, if you are a general candidate, your percentile is not up to the mark which makes difficult for you to grab a seat at this institute. In order to get admission at COEP, a candidate is required to  fetch at least 95-96 percentile in JEE Main to secure a seat with ease.

College of Engineering, Pune is a premier institute in India. So among the top engineering colleges in Maharashtra cut off list 2021, COEP will be having its name. Quite naturally, COEP will be having strict cutoff criteria.

If you have attempted MHT-CET and you think you've performed better than JEE Main there then share your rank or marks with us. If you are lucky you may get seat via Maharashtra CAP Counselling in that case.

If you want to get a detailed report on your eligibility in various colleges based on your JEE Main rank, feel free to use JEE Main 2021 College Predictor:

I hope you find this information helpful.

Dear,

In order to get admission in COEP you need to score more then 160 marks in MHT CET in general category. To get admission in core branches like Computer/IT you need to score more then 175 in general category. According, to the changes MHT CET level is raised to JEE Main and 20% weightage will be from 11th class and 80% from 12th class.

Hello there,

COEP is the top engineering college in Maharashtra and one of the oldest and best engineering institutes in the country. To get into the CS branch, you'll need to score roughly 115 on the MHTCET. Even though the cutoff for CS in 2018 was 119, the cutoff fluctuates every year, and COEP is extremely competitive.
