Hello,
If you are pursuing diploma in engineering then you can get lateral entry in any engineering college. Almost every colleges have lateral entry.
Now you want to choose in between CSE and IT which one you choose..look if you are interested in total about computer then go for CSE easily..and now days CSE demand is high. If you are interested in information about technology then go for IT. Choice is totally yours you have to choose.
All the best.
The main difference between COEP and VNIT is that, VNIT enjoys the Status of a National Institute having a much better crowd and competitive culture besides having a strong employer outlook. You cant really compare COEP and VNIT on Placements, Faculty or Infrastructure. But as far as Research potential & prospects and Training Facilities or Collaborations with Top Institutes like IITB is concerned, VNIT Nagpur is much ahead than COEP. Especially if youre considering Core Engineering Courses like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy, Chemical, VNIT Nagpur must be your preferred choice.

Ancient buildings with best modern touches is a most famous building in college Overall 36 acres campus, River view and 7 8 department buildings, 2 canteens and 2 auditoriums, 1 sbi bank and atm is also inside.
The labs and their corresponding equipment are of the highest quality and majority of the faculty are experienced professionals. Classrooms are mediocre in terms of design and comfort as is the WiFi network. Libraries and sports facilities are good. Canteen is clean and hygienic however the Boat Club canteen could do with some work.
The College of Engineering Pune is very prestigious for its impressive infrastructure, which basically enhances the student experience on the campus. Classrooms are also well equipped with the Projectors, digital learning tools and also are very spacious.
