Yes, you can give MHT CET and consider admission in Colleges under DTE Maharashtra. However, it would be beneficial having a Domicile Certificate for Maharashtra State and you must Contact nearest Notary Office for it, or perhaps some Document which gives you access to Maharashtra Home State Category, hence you can access the huge percentage of seats under Maharashtra Home State Category in State Colleges like COEP.

If you are a other state student, then you cannot apply for lateral entry in college of engineering pune. Because for lateral entry the seat are totally reserved for maharashtra candidates. But if you apply for 4 year ug degree then 15% of the dewata would be reserved for other states candidates.
But for lateral entry only the maharastra students are given seat. So, you better look up for some other college for lateral entry.

As you have not mention the name of the course for which you wanted to take admission in College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). It offers a four-year B. Tech programme at the UG level. Admission in the college is based on MHTCET counselling. which is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai. As per the previous years records (2018, 2019 and 2020) you will get admission in College of engineering, Pune (COEP, Pune) if you score around 150 in MHTCET entrance exam (if you are a domicile of Maharashtra). Also, if you want a core branch such as CSE, IT, mechanical then you need to score 170+.
