Yes to certain extent you do hold a chance yo grab a seat in this college. Its no doubt a very good one but your scores are a bit high. Its not certain that you'll get but probably till last or Spot rounds may let you seek admission into it. You'll get one just wait for it. Good luck!

Hello,

Based on previous years cutoff since every year cutoff changes you can get admission into this college for CSE branch on the basis of your category and rank. so for your reference i have provided you the link.

Hello The cutoff to get into COEP is different for various branches. cutoff marks for all the branches of COEP as follows: Civil Engg - 170/200 Computer Engg - 189/200 IT - 181/200 Electrical Engg - 178/200 E&TC Engg - 180/200 Instrumentation Engg - 172/200 Mechanical Engg - 182/200 Production Engg (Sandwich) - 163/200 This is for GOPENS category for reference purposes. Anywhere around 90 percentile can make ur way for cs in coep and adding your ews category it would be easy enough for you to get a seat here. All the best.

Hello Aditya,

For admission into NITs, you need to attend the JoSAA counselling. Since JoSAA conducts counselling on the basis of JEE Main score, you need to first qualify the required cutoff as per your category. Below I have provided 2019 JEE Main cutoff (percentile) category wise -

  • CRL : 89.75
  • GEN-EWS : 78.21
  • OBC-NCL : 74.31
  • SC : 54.01
  • ST : 44.33
  • PwD : 0.11

Now, if you are qualified then you need to attend the JoSAA counselling inorder to get a seat in NITs. But with your rank it will be hard to a get a seat. Better attend the counselling and see which colleges and branches are you getting. About admission in COEP and PICT, both the colleges accept JEE Main score but they don't participate in JoSAA counselling. For these colleges you need to attend MHT-CET CAP counselling session where they take admissions on the basis of one's JEE Main score/rank.

You can go through this link and checkout the detilas regarding JoSAA counselling : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-counselling

Also, you can visit this link and get the detailed information about CAP counselling : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/mht-cet-counselling

Good Luck !!!

Hello,
Yes you can get an admission for IT. If you have some categorical reservation then apply for state government colleges accepting the entrance you have appeared and give options for private college too with low priority for security purposes.
If your rank is for general category then better look for private college in your domicile state. That will be way helpful for you.
Private colleges also provide quality education and you can make a good career too.
Hope it helps!

Hello,
With this rank in MHTCET and being from state ladies quota you cannot get a seat in computer science engineering in COEP but you can easily get Civil engineering as the last year cutoff was 3066 for civil engineering.

Hope it helps

Hello,

the closing rank for COEP  is below:- 200. your rank is a bit high to get an admission in CSE.  you can look for other college where you can get an admission. Your rank is not in the range for the college. You can try for other government college where the range is below 1K. You will have high chances there.

Hope it helps!

Hi Gaurav,

There is NO special cutoff for the EWS section in MHT CET counseling.

Rather, the cutoff which is allocated to the General/Open category is used for the EWS category as well.

Both categories are allocated the same cutoff.

Based on 2018 cutoff of COEP and VJTI for General/Open category candidates, you can definitely get the following branches this year-

1. VJTI, Mumbai-

  • All branches except Computer Engineering and IT

2. COEP, Pune-

  • All branches except Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering

You can check the MHT CET 2018 cutoff for all the colleges from the given link-

College Infrastructure

The labs and their corresponding equipment are of the highest quality and majority of the faculty are experienced professionals. Classrooms are mediocre in terms of design and comfort as is the WiFi network. Libraries and sports facilities are good. Canteen is clean and hygienic however the Boat Club canteen could do with some work.

Best Engineering College Ever

The College of Engineering Pune is very prestigious for its impressive infrastructure, which basically enhances the student experience on the campus. Classrooms are also well equipped with the Projectors, digital learning tools and also are very spacious.
