Hope it helps!

Dear Student,

I assume that you do not understand or you are unaware of different exams and their significance for admission in certain fields which I consider I must clarify first.

1. JEE Advanced and JEE Mains are the National levels competitive exams in India to get admission in engineering.

2. NEET is the National level competitive exams in India to get admission to the 14 Medical Courses to become doctors.

Now your question asks about what you have got 97 percentile in NEET and you are an OBC candidate and you want admission in COEP which stands for College of Engineering, Pune and that is not the college which offers medical course but it is as mentioned a college of engineering where students become engineers and not doctors.

Thus your questions contradict and confuse about which exam you gave was NEET or JEE otherwise you must have got confused by mentioning some other Medical College and instead of that you mentioned some other Engineering College by mistake.

Nonetheless, here is the information about COEP as mentioned in your tags as well.

  • COEP- College of Engineering, Pune is an Autonomous Institute located in Pune, Maharastra and was established in 1854.
  • The Institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and is approved by AICTE- All India Council for Technical Education.
  • COEP offers B.Tech, M.Tech, PG Diploma, and Ph.D. research programs and not any medical courses just to be sure.

1. College of Engineering, Pune Placements:

  • In this college, the placements are offered through its Training and Placement Cell.
  • The Placement Cell organizes various activities like Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Seminars, Assessment Tests and several enhancement programs.
  • Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, Hero Corp and Ashok Leyland are among the frequent recruiters.
  • The highest package offered to a candidate in the year 2017 was 29.20 LPA Lakhs Per Anum by D.E.Shaw.

2.College of Engineering, Pune scholarship:

  • This college helps the students in availing various Government, Non-government, Alumni, Industry aided scholarships and financial aids.
  • There are various scholarships that are exclusively offered to female students.
  • Students willing to take a Bank Loan can apply for the same through the SBI COEP branch available at the campus.

3. College of Engineering, Pune Rankings:

The details are mentioned as Year, Ranking Body and Rank among the other Engineering Colleges of India.

  • 2017- NIRF: 24th
  • 2017- Outlook India: 10th
  • 2017- The Week: 23rd
  • 2016- India Today: 11th

Conclusion:

I have provided all the information you need to have about COEP- College of Engineering, Pune as mentioned but you cannot and I rapeat you cannot get admission in COEP with NEET Marks, you have to get Marks in JEE or any other state eligibility exam of Maharastra to get admission in engineering in that college.

As for Medical is concern, they do not and I repeat it again they do not offer any medical courses and they only offer Engineering Courses.

If you have any other query, question, problem, issue, doubt about NEET, Career, AIIMS, JIPMER, Admission and Verification Process, Hospitals, Colleges, etc.; you just need to ask a question separate query.

I Consider your query has met with its conclusion.

ALL THE BEST!!

Greetings Gopal,

Your chance of getting Singhagad College of Engineering is 60% as in 2nd or 3rd round of counselling might give you your required college in CSE but not in IT.

According to your rank you can also get these colleges:
1.Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, Kolhapur with CSE.
2.Deogiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies, Aurangabad with CSE
3.Zeal Education Society's Zeal College of Engineering & Reserch, Narhe, Pune with IT

Good Luck!!
Regards Ankit!!

Hi Rahul,

YES, you can get Production Engineering (Sandwich) branch, but only on the basis of your SC rank i.e. 5,000.

I can provide you the MHT CET 2017 and 2018 cutoff for this branch for SC category, so you can get a clear idea.

In 2017, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 10,689

In 2018, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 9,608

Hope this helps you.

All the best!!!

Hi Yogesh,

Based on your General/Open category rank, you can get the Metallurgical Engineering branch in COEP, Pune, and Production Engineering or Textile Technology branch in VJTI, Mumbai.

Based on your OBC category rank, you can get any of the branches in COEP except Computer Engineering and you can basically all branches in VJTI after the last round.

All these assumptions are made on the basis of the 2016, 2017 and 2018 cutoffs for COEP and VJTI.

Hope this helps you.

All the best!!!

Admission to coep is through mhtcet .

There is no minimum criteria for 12 th percent.

So if you got a good rank in mhtcet you will surely get admission

ie score approximately 140-150 above then you can get into coep definitely.

There is no entry through JEE main .

Hi aditya ,
Yes coep has reservation for girls sc st and obc candidate of home state category .
As well as some additional reservation for vimukth jati , Nomadic tribes 1 , Nomadic tribes 2 , Nomadic tribes 3, Defence , Tution fee waiver and physically disability.

Hope it helps!!!

Hello Sakshi

Congratulations on securing 87.84%ile in MHTCET

The cutoff of last year for ENTC branch of COEP is around 170.

I would suggest you go through the last year cutoffs of the first round of CAP Process on the following link.

https://images.careers360.mobi/sites/default/files/MHT-CET-2018-Cap-Round1-Cutoff.pdf

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/mht-cet-cutoff (For all rounds)

Make sure you look for proper cutoffs according to Quota (General-G, State-S, TFWS, etc), category (Open, OBC, SC, ST, etc) & also according to the university.

Also, the cutoffs vary for all branches.

Hope this helps. Best of Luck!

hello susmita,

The cutoff for engineering changes every year by some small percentage.

If we consider overall cutoff of electrical engineering in COEP then 90% is the minimum percentage required for admission in branch as per previous year.

as you got 90%,it depends on your luck you may or may not get a seat in COEP in electrical or any other branch because the last year cutoff branchwise are as follows

Mech-94%.

civil-93%

metallurgy-90%

Electrical-92%

IT-94%.

the above cutoffs are for students of general category.

hope this may help you.
