It is not mentioned if you belong to OBC-NCL or OBC-CL, if you belong to OBC-CL then you will come under general category.In 2019 the cut off in round 7 for IIIT, Pune for CSE was 9799. This is for OBC-NCL category and for general category it was 23660. Considering this you may get seat whether you belong to OBC-NCL or OBC-CL. However, cut off changes depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, number of seats available etc.

IIIT Pune is undoubtedly better for B.Tech in Computer Science. Although relatively newer, it is a budding institute and mentored by the older IIITs. The faculty members are well experienced, placement stats high and the infrastructure is quite good. The kind of exposure you will get here is comparable to other top IIITs.

well this year's cutoff hasnt been released yet so you can compare to last years cutoff for iiit pune and  estimate whether you can get a seat in the branch of cse

Hello student. To both the colleges are pretty good in the faculty, course curriculum,  infrastructure.. in all these both are really good.

But when it comes to placements, that too in the department of computer science, thapar university is comparatively better compared to that of iiit pune.

Pretty better companies and better packages in thapar university in comparison with iiit pune exist. So my suggestion would be to go for it
