Firstly it depends upon your interest which stream you want to choose irrespective of college names and placements but if you really want to compare then IT from iiit sonepat will be a better option in terms of faculty , infrastructure and placements.
Highest package -40 lakhs per annum
Average package - 8 lakhs per annum
Whereas in iiit pune highest package offered is 22 lakh and average  package is 7 lakhs
But at last it depends upon you and choose wisely.

In respect of placement and future scope, I will suggest CS from IIIT Pune over IIIT Sonepat. IIIT Pune has better placement than IIIT Sonepat. And the second factor is CSE has a better scope than IT in all the terms.

But, I will suggest that you make the selection as per your interest.

Both college are Good.

IIIT Sonipat for IT is much better than IIIT Pune . Because facilities are good and fees is also less. Placement in IIIT Sonipat are also very good. Environment are also Nice. Faculty are Experienced, highly-educated, friendly and helpful in nature. If we see the overall rating IIIT Sonipat for IT rating is higher than IIIT Pune for EC  So overall IIIT Sonipat (IT) is better than IIIT Pune (EC).

And it's also depend in which field you have interest so, you can also through your field of interest. If you have interest in IT (Software you can go with IIIT Sonipat for IT. And If you have interest in EC ( Electronics) You can go with IIIT Pune for EC.

CSE from IIIT Pune will be a better option because of various reasons. First and foremost is that the placement in cse is exceptional and also IIIT Pune has a great placement record in CSE branch. I would give second choice to IIIT Jabalpur as it is also a very old and reputed college. But for better placement you should go for cse in IIIT Pune.

IIIT Jabalpur is better than IIIT Pune. As per the placement statistics and student reviews, it will be wiser to pursue Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT Jabalpur rather than pursuing Computer Science Engineering at IIIT Pune.

Placements have also over the years and PSU have started recruiting from the campus itself which is a great news ECE students in IIIT Jabalpur.

It totally depends upon your choice which college you like but if you really want to compare then both colleges have excellent infrastructure and faculty .
In terms of placements in vit  highest package offered in 2019 was 41 lakhs.
Av. Package - 7.25 lakhs
Whereas in iiit pune  highest package offered was 22 lakh and average package was 7 lakhs .
So in terms of placement vit is slightly ahead otherwise both are good colleges .

As it is difficult to arrange the colleges for you because it's totally depends on your interest and choice

But,You should fill the choices according to your preference,like which college with which branch you want first.

According to me,you should fill that college first in which you think that your chances are low but you want to go in that college so that even if you don't get that college then you might get another in lower preference.

But if you fill the college first in which cut offs are always low then you will get that college in starting rounds and you'll not able to get your most preferred college.

I have given you some idea,but again its totally depends on you to choose the college according to your preference.

I think you should prefer NIT Surat ECE/NIT Nagpur ECE above IIIT Pune CSE. IIIT Pune, is still a new institute and loses out to the former 2 NITs on Infrastructure and Outlook. Of course, if you are so determined to study nothing but CSE ,you can of course opt for the latter option.

Classifying Further, I believe NIT Nagpur ECE, will be a better choice than NIT Surat ECE. Pune ,being an upcoming IT Hub of the Country and vicinity to Mumbai and Bengaluru will provide you with numerous opportunitues in context of training, internships and placement. Placements are never a concern when it comes to older NITs amd secondly the branch being ECE, you can be assured of excellent placements and packages touching 10 LPA and upwards on an average. However few Companies and MnCs like Intel, Facebook and Texas Instruments visit NIT Nagpur but not NIT Surat.

International Institute of Information and technology, Pune is a very good college especially in branches like ECE and CSE. About 60-70% students get placed each year in companies with salary packages of 15-22 LPA. Faculty also seems to be highly qualified and are very helpful. Companies like Amazon and Gojek recruit students from this college. Infrastructure is well maintained and classrooms are equipped with smart boards.

If you join this college and work hard, you will definitely get placed in  good company. See that you maintain your score at least 65% and that you do not have any backlogs.

As per your question, both of the are equally good and have their standards but to figure out which one would should be preferrable for mechanical engineering one should compare there placement packages and teaching facilities . So as per teaching facilities and placement packages :-

1) IIIT pune :-

Highest package offered is of 40LPA while lowest package offered is 8LPA last year whereas as per their official they have an average package of 5 to 6 LPA.

As per teaching facility they have well qualified professors with a minimum of 20 years of experience.

2) NIT goa:-

Highest package of offered in the last year is 12LPA while an average package of 6.41 LPA as per their officials.

They also have well qualified professors having a great experience.

So as per this comparison IIIT pune have an edge on NIT goa little bit. So as per my opinion you should go with IIIT pune. But you can also choose as per your convinence .
