Dear candidate........ hope you're doing good..
Well, basing upon your category rank in JEE ADVANCED, it is difficult for you to get admission into any of the IITs. But still you can give it a try at the time of counseling since you're a SC candidate and it's better to apply for colleges in your own home state so that the chances of getting admission are high. Yes you may get into IISER Bhopal, ISER Mohali, ISER Pune or RGIPT BARELY.
Hope this helps you out.....
All the best !!!
Hello aspirant,
Indian Institute of space science and technology IIST is a very well known college offering BTech in aerospace and electronic and communication engineering and dual degree ( BTech+Mtech).
With the marks you got there are some chances of you getting admission in dual degree in IIST though the chances are low but if you are lucky enough you will surely get admission. Admission depends on various factors such as category, number of students applied, number of seats, difficulty level of examination, course chosen, etc.
Hope this helps.
If any queries feel free to ask.
All the best!!
Regards.

hello dhwaj guptha,
THE IIST-INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SPACE AND TECHNOLOGY
giving the UG-courses admission only through the merit list of the JEE-MAIN rank holders
you can register for the admission in the IIST official website after then you have to submit the JEE-MAIN details
so after some days they will give admission according to the merit list in the JEE-MAIN examination
they are not giving admssion through the JEE-ADVANCE
all the best
Congrats on securing a great rank Sumanth, with a rank of 3203 any IIT will be possible for you if you don't have a preferred branch or location.
Coming to IIST, it maybe a bit tough because the number of seats is less in that college ( just 140 ) and its a very reputed institute for space enthusiasts.
I suggest you do participate in JoSAA counselling sessions and you will surely end up with an IIT. Best of luck
Hello Rithwik!
According to last year data, for admission in ECE branch of IIST you must have scored around 15-16% marks if you are an SC category student. And with your rank it is clear that you have scored above that.
For IIT, it will be tough to get a seat. Even if you get one then the IIT will be newly established or you will get some lower branch. It's better to go for IIST rather than a newer IIT or any lower branch.
All All the best!
Hi,

IIST admits students based on their JEE advanced scores/ranks.You have to appear for JEE advanced and clear it and secure a rank in top 10k to be assured of securing admission on IIST. After JEE advanced result is declared you need to apply on their official website a separate merit list is prepared based on the applications received and according to I admissions are done.
