According to last year data, for admission in ECE branch of IIST you must have scored around 15-16% marks if you are an SC category student.And with your rank it is clear that you have scored above that.

For IIT, it will be tough to get a seat.

IIST admits students based on their JEE advanced scores/ranks.You have to appear for  JEE advanced and clear it and secure a rank in top 10k to be assured of securing admission on IIST. After JEE advanced result is declared you need to apply on their official website a separate merit
