Hey!
As per the colllege life, IIT Madras campus is more beutiful and has good ambiance than IIT kanpur. Also, IN IITM you neet to have compulsory 85% in subjects and in IITK there is no such rule. Faculty members are experienced in both the campuses. IITK has good quality food in cheaper rates whereas in IITM its quite expensive. Also, in IITK you can change your stream after 3rd semester also but it is applicable upto 1st semester in IITM. However, coming to the placements, IITS re the well known institutes for placements and knowledge so, it is excellent in both the campuses.
Thankyou

It is better to choose IIT Kanpur .
Hope this helps !!
Hi Aspirants,
IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur both are one of the top colleges in India to pursue engineering. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering are two of the three oldest branches of engineering in India. Pursuing B.Tech in either of them have different scopes. Both branches have a vast scope in government sectors, whereas Electrical Engineering has a one-inch upper hand than Mechanical Engineering in the Private sector.
So, I will suggest you go for either of the options. But solely on your interest and passion rather than any other stats.

Hey aspirant,
As we all know IIT Kanpur is one of the prestigious college which is a dream for many students and not only that CSE is most demanding branch in the college. To qualify for IIT Kanpur the student must first clear JEE Mains first and then JEE Advance. The cut-off for CSE branch in IIT Kanpur should be around-
Category Rank(Gender-Neutral)
General - 217
OBC - 133
ST - 45
SC - 88
The marks are very hard to predict but you should aim at getting around 65-70% in JEE Advance to get into IIT Kanpur CSE branch.
