Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have got 97.5 percentile in jee mains and taking into consideration that you are from obc category and from south india so let me tell you that it depends on your state ranking prepared by the authorities.
So you have to come under 600 rank so that you would be on a safer side to crack ict mumbai chemical branch. For dye stuff cut is 1.9k.
But main problem is number of applicants changes every year so that competition may increase and decrease accordingly.

Dear aspirant,
Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Jalna does not provide admissions to B.Tech courses. The college provides admission to only the M.Tech integrated program and Ph.D. program. If you want to take admission in Chemical Engineering then you can take admission at ICT Mumbai. ICT Mumbai provides admission in B.E. Chemical Engineering which is also known as B.Chem (Bachelor of Chemical Engineering).
The cut-offs at ICT Mumbai are very high. With the 90 percentile in JEE Mains, it is difficult for you to get admission there unless you are from any category such as OBC/SC/ST.

I hope, your query is solved.
Dear aspirant,
It is not possible to predict that whether in this percentile you would be able to crack ict mumbai or not because admissions are on the basis of a state merit list prepared by the conducting body. So, it depends upon certain factors like number of candidates applying for the college, number of seats vacant in college and also the toughness level.
Considering you are from outside Maharashtra, so you have very less chances according to my calculations because the cut off is very. As per previous years cut off for chemical was around 600 and this is the highest.

Dear aspirant,
For ict mumbai, it is a bit difficult for the non Maharashtrian candidates to get a seat in ict mumbai. Admissions in this colleges are on the basis of marks obtained in jee mains or mhcet examination.
If I had to talk about jee mains and its cut off , generally as per the general category student cut offs usually stays under 15k to get chemical engineering in ict mumbai but it can differ as per the level of the paper, number of candidates and the number of seats in that college.

Hi Shivanshu!
I cannot predict the exact marks/rank to get a seat in ICT Mumbai for chemical engineering as cut off trends varies every year depending on the factors like:
The difficulty level of the jee examination.
Number of candidates who appeared in the exam.
Previous year jee cutoff trends for Btech
Total number of seats on which admissions are offered
But I can give you a rough idea on the basis of previous records. And as per them, if you score somewhere around 150 to 180 marks means 97 to 99 percentile then you can definitely get a seat in chemical engineering under All India Quota in Jee mains. Means the rank around 5k to 7k.
Thankyou!
I would suggest you to pursue Mechanical from AIT Pune, which has certainly much higher career scope and placement prospects than Polymer at ICT Mumbai. Being located near Industrial and Manufacturing Hubs of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, provide huge scope and impetus to training and placements besides providing effective engineering education.
On the other hand, ICT Mumbai is perhaps the best State Engineering College with VJTI and COEP, after Central Institutes VNIT and IITB. Incase you are interested in pursuing a MS/PhD or Research in future, in that case you may prefer Polymer at ICT Mumbai over AIT Pune Mechanical, otherwise, going by Placements and future career and industry prospects, AIT Pune is a much better option.

Hello,
The ICT Mumbai admission process for the four-year B.Tech. degree involves JEE Main or MH-CET scores. 70% of the seats are reserved for the candidates of the state of Maharashtra, and the remaining 30% are reserved for all states and UT including Maharashtra. Yes you don't need to give MHT CET if you have given JEE main as the college accepts both the scores for admissions. But if you have not scored the required cut off in JEE main for which you will be eligible for seat in ICT Mumbai then you will not get admissions through JEE main. The course selection criteria are based on a combination of JEE-Main and a state board examination.
Hello,
You can check the JEE Main cut off percentile for Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga, Mumbai in 2020 MHT CET counselling round 2
Considering the previous year cut off you need to score minimum 92-96 percentile in JEE.
