Dear Aspirant,it totally depends on your decision but if you need advice I can help you out. NIT and IIIT are renowned colleges and it is better to get a course over there but if you want to go for just CSE or IT then go for the DAIICT seat. I would recommend to check whether based on your rank you can get CSE or IT at NIT/IIIT. If not then make a decision after checking which course you are getting there and would you like to study it. Since it's your career the end decision is completely yours. The summary of my advice is that if you are getting IT/CSE at NIT/IIIT then go for it and if not then make your decision after proper research. Here is a college prediction website to check whether you can get into NIT/IIIT for your desired course based on your JEE mains rank:

Dear Aspirant,

When you apply for the admission process you will be provided a merit rank on the basis of your JEE rank and the cutoff for Food technology in ICT Mumbai is 1278.Approximately a score of 130+ would be enough to get you into ICT Food Technology. So I hope you have got a little clarity about the admission process and rank you require.Best of luck.

Hi there,

First of all lnmiit is much better than daiict. But still you won't be able to get cse at lnmiit as the cut offs are very high last year only those students got cse who had 98.5+ percetile in general category.

But since your percetile is low hence you won't get cse in any good college, that is nit or iiit, but you may get other good branches like ece, it or electrical at lnmiit and some nits.

To check those options you can use our college predictor tool

hi,

see the students are eligible to appear in gate exam from any of the streams. the eligibility criteria to appear in gate exam is candidates must have completed the bachelor of technology course in any stream or in final year or completed the m.sc course or in final year candidates are eligible to give gate exam.

so you are eligible to give gate from cse stream even if you have completed engineering course in ICT.

Hello dear ,

No, there is no separate paper for ICT students. You should look into the Gate brochure and look for Gate papers and it's syllabus.

Hope this helps !

Hello Aspirant

The branch of Engineering ICT i.e Information and Coomunication Engineering, is a rather new branch , which deals with the subjects of Information Technology and Electronics and Communication engineering, combined. So definitely, this is a fact that a student studying ICT , will have broader career options available, because of it's diversity and flexibility. The major career options after ICT may be :

1. Software Engineer

2. Systems Analyst

3. Software tester

4. Network Engineer

After completing a degree in B.Tech in ICT, you can either opt for directly getting into jobs, on and off campus, or do M.Tech, and many other options are available to you, you just have to find the one that best fits you.

Hope this helps you. Good luck!

hello aspirant,

in this modern era every company wants the best coders for their company, they want someone who can handle the company's softwares easily and make profit to them.

the scope of the branches also depends on colleges to colleges and the companies that visit the college to hire students .

more companies prefer to hire coders and softwares engineers and they are from the cse department.

hope that helps
