ICT Mumbai has pretty high standards as far providing admission to students is concerned.

With 92 percentile, it is highly unlikely to get an admission in ICT Mumbai engineering college, even if you have a obc quota reservation.

I rather suggest you to look for other colleges.

Both are the prestigious intitues in their own feild ,

IIT are been the national prestige of all time ,

Whether you have to make desicion on the basis of college distance

If the IIT is far away from your home and you are not able to accomodate in the new environment then you must go with ICT

But the tag of IIT is always a great achievement so better try for IIT

Hello ,

Firstly why do learn a language.

Learning a language create a strong base of software engineering and development.

If you learn different language especially if you are in computer science field is definitely worth it.

If you are going for job and you have a simple degree with just your marks then you will be not considered but if you a strong base of programming language then you definitely have more scope and job opportunities.

Learning a language from any institute be it Cisco networking academy or Oct academy  is always beneficial.

They teach you from the scratch and help you in applying the knowledge in the real world .

And did you know a programmer may earn 6 lakh or above just in India .

As a fellow computers student I will definitely recommend to learn it .

Learn from the start JavaScript, c++ or c but start early.

Best of luck !!

ICT Mumbai got transformed into University Institute of Chemical Technology (UICT) on 26th January, 2002. The institute is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The institute imparts undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in several disciplines.

They are offers 3 streams such as Engineering ,Sciences and Pharmacy with lots of specialization .Every course admission process is different it is depends upon the course .

he institute offers admission to undergraduate courses based on MHT CET/JEE Main scores, postgraduate courses based on GATE/GPAT scores, M.Sc courses based on the scores of the written conducted by the institute. Hi there!

Provisional Admission simply implies that you need some prerequisites courses before you begin with.

It has no more risk than any other university since the requirement to be a graduate student is to maintain a gpa of 3.0.

Actually risk is not a good measure in selecting the school. But if you do not have any other option you can you can select good school.

Hello there,

The difference between ICT , CS Engineering   :

  • Computer Science deals with both the Software and Hardware aspect of a computer. CS students learn about Electronic Devices like Logic Gates, FETs, etc in their courseware. Whereas Information Technology deals with just the software aspect of Computer Science and students are not taught about Electronics.
  • Information and Communication Technology - It can be called mother of IT, deals with Software and the Communication / Telecommunication aspect. ICT students learn about Transmission media, Antennas, Networking, mobility, telecommunications, e-mail systems, all possible internet communication (skype, email, calling -messging apps, etc. ).

Hope It Helps:)
