Hello,
Your relative most probably has got the rank around 40k-70k which is not very high. His chances of getting any institute through JoSAA is highly unlikely. It would have been appreciable if you had also mentioned your home state eligibility. As with Home state in some of the states, you might have some chance in any north-eastern NITs. I would highly recommend you to look for some other options like some good private institutions or state counsellings where JEE Mains is accepted.
I am linking cutoffs for different IIITs https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-iiits
Thank You
Thank You
Hi
To take admission into IIITs, you have to take entrance examinations like - JEE Mains, even few State PET examinations dependending on the IIIT. Based on your rank and merit, you will be allotted courses in IIITs. You can take admission into IIITs through JoSAA and CSAB Counselling Procedures.
Best of Luck.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
Dear Aspirant
I would like to tell you that every newer IIIT is better than at least state government's and private college not only in terms of facilities but also in terms of placement, because most of companies head toward iiit after iit and nit. So if you are getting any IIITs grab it without thinking much.
Good luck for your future :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Hello aspirant. I am really sorry to say that these kinds of ranks don't get admitted at IIITs. Even if you belong to OBC category, you need to have below 4000 rank at least with all your luck to secure a seat. IIITs are specially for CSE and IT department, hence they have relatively higher cut offs as compared to NITs who offer all other branches as well.
Regards
Hello,
IIITs are one of the finest institutes of India and thus are in great demand among aspirants of engineering. Moreover, the courses of CSE, ECE, IT, etc are among the top branches which students like to take thus the chances of getting a seat in any of IIITs is almost negligible. These institutes mostly close before the closing rank even reaches 30k for general, so you can imagine the tough competition which is there for IIITs.
I would suggest you look for other options as there is almost no chance of getting a seat in IIIT. You might stand a chance if you have a reservation under SC/ST quota as they might give you a chance in some of the newest IIITs, though they might be a compromise for you. You should look for state counsellings where JEE Mains marks are taken.
Thank You
Hello,
As per my previous experience, IIIT Hyderabad sends SMS about the announcements of the counselling results and you can check your seat allotment accordingly, coming to the IIIT Bengaluru, this might not be the confirmed data but they send an email about the calling letter and also you can check the application status online on the site of IIIT-Bengaluru.
Thank You
Dear Reader,
Your counselling will be done on the basis of your category rank but thats also not upto the mark. You cannot expect IIT with this rank but yes you can expect NIT's and IIIT's that too in last rounds of counselling and it would also depend on your choice of branch. Higher the college ranking lower the probability of branch will be for you.
Talking about MBM college you cannot get top branches like CS, IT but you can easily get some other branches.
As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.
College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
