A 82000 rank is not enough for you to get admitted to any iiits not even the newer ones. The cutoff at maximum goes to 35000-40000 for the newest of the iiits. So as per my understanding your rank will not hand you a iiit in the south India.

hi mohit singh.hope you are doing well.yes you can write gate exam after pursuing dual degree because after the third year of study you become eligible to takeup the exam.so during your fourth year you can write gate and if you manage to clear it then you are eligible for gate scholarship in the fifth year.

The cutoff for IIIT Raipur from state quota will goes from 1000-46k last year. As per your rank and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get are:-

Hey! 2019 was the first year when IIIT Kottayam saw its first placement. Institute had good companies coming forward to recruit them. Some of them where NISSAN ,L&T, Reliance(JIO) and many more startups.

Good companies like NISSAN offered package starting from 6 Lakh to 10 Lakh.Which is brilliant when seeing the first placement year of Institute. Whereas other new iiits did not saw this type of offers in their first year. So comparing the current scenario one can expect that the placement to be as good as old nits in coming 2–3 years. It is a well deserving institute for candidates securing rank between 5000 to 15000.

Coding culture is as per with old iiits like IIIT Allahabad, Gwalior and good nits. More than 70% students clearing starting round of CODE JAM conducted by GOOGLE.

Most important point is that no other new iiits have got their permanent campus except few. But IIIT Kottayam have got its campus from 2018–2019 session, again beating other.

If you are interested in ECE branch then you can go for IIIT Hyderabad or if you want to pursue mechanical branch then you go for IIT Gandhinagar. If branch is not your priority then you can choose IIT Gandhinagar as it has an IIT tag. But the most important thing is the subject in which you want to build your career. Therefore choose wisely.
