Well brother, I can understand your situation. I know you have worked hard for JEE mains but I believe with 77.8k category rank you won't be getting decent college which I can recommend you.
Though with EWS and home state quota, there might be an increased chance of your's getting a seat but with such a rank it is very hard to get.
As, opting a very low rank NIT core branch will bring nothing good for you.
So, I would suggest you to prefer state engineering colleges. Some state eng. colleges are way better than even mediocre ranked NIT.
Also, I would recommend you to do take part in JoSAA and go to through all the round even the spot round. May be, some good fortune can turn your destiny.
Or the better recommendation can be
To prefer Thapur. It is one of the older colleges in education industry with better Alumni than many of the NIT's.
Thank You

The best possible NIT available
1. NIT Raipur (though chances are really very poor)

Since, you have scored 95.25% in JEE mains, I would say your rank is around 45-46k. As you have not mentioned your category, I am assuming you are from general category. You are onlygoing to get admissions into some of the NITs that to if you are from the home state as the cutoff for home state candidates is quite lenient.
COMPUTER SCIENCE
CIVIL ENGINEERING
ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING
ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
These are only the closing ranks of general category for their respective home states.
As for IIIT, Bhubaneswar it would be very difficult as it is a very good college and since only last year it started it's admission through jee mains counselling. If you stick to the special rounds, there might be a slim chance.
I hope this answers your query.
I am extremely sorry to inform you that with such a huge rank you will not get admission in even a single institute which conducts admission through JOSAA counselling.
The only possible way to get admission at this rank would be that you belong to ST category but I guess that is not the case here!
Yes, I would suggest you take it. VIT offers a lot of opportunities and very good facilities, it all depends on how you use them. Placements are very good as compared to colleges other than IIT's and NIT's. Hostels are way better than other colleges. Students from CSE in particular get a lot of opportunities for internships as well as placements. All you need is a decent CGPA around 8.5. The rules are a bit strict for girls otherwise it's fine. A couple of the answers you get here may be written by frustrated students who whiled away their time and now realise that, having a CGPA below 6, they might not be eligible to sit for placements.
As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.
College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
