Getting IT branch in the top NITs and IIITs with this rank will be diffocult for you as you belong to general category. However, if you are solely focused on IT branch then you can go for the newer NITs and IIITs where you might have a chance of getting a branch of your choice you can also try for the north-eastern NITs. I got 66,650 in jee main and belong to oc,is there any chance of getting NIT,IIIT,GFTI'S

Hi santosh ,
I regret to inform you that with such a low score you cannot get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like nits or iiits.
As nits or iiits are one of the most sought after college in feild of engineering so they have high cutoffs for the candidates to get admission.

Either you take part in any other councelling process or take admission into any reputed private institutes.

For computer science and engineering, which is best? IIIT or NIT ?

CSE is best branch running in the field if engineering today!

In terms of coding culture IIIT Is the best as it as got the brand name Indian Institute .

Here they offer you with really high package.

It's not like NIT where students get admission into due to state quota .

So IIIT is best for CSE students !

The best of them include IIIT Trichy, Kanchipuram etc .

i had 16813 rank in b arch is am able to get admission in any NIT or IIIT or GFTI's??

your rank is not good and you will not get any nits or iiits,
For paper 2, you must get rank upto 2.5k for being in the safe zone.

According to your percentile, you could get a decent branch in your home state NITs. Since you have not mentioned your home state I would not be able to give to clear direction on which NIT you might get however you could get into following if you belong to these states:-

NIT Uttarakhand
NIT Durgapur
IIEST Shibpur, etc.

College Infrastructure

As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.

Overall college life here is not too much but good.

College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.

College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
