Hello student. First coming to branches. Ciomputer science and electronics and communication engineering are two sort of different ish branches. I would say just one thing. If yu are intrested in physics and everything. then go for ece. Else of this software, technology then go for cse.
Coming to answer of it being a good move or not in terms of placements. As far as I know, cse ha better placements in KIIT than ece. In computer science, almost 90 percent of the students gets placed. ANd the highest package is around 30 lakhs. SO interms of this, I suggest cse is better. So, if you are interested and there is a possibility then I suggest you to shift back to cse.
Coming to Amritha or KIIT irrespective of branches. I suggest that kiit is really good institution and so does amrita too. But When compared. KIIT is the best out of both.
I suggest you to go for KIIT in Computer science branch. Here are the factors to consider KIIT:
Infrastructure and college life:
It has a wonderful infrastructure with well equipped labs and classrooms. Hostels are pretty decent and nice enviroment is always maintained. You can see that the campus life is going to be really well. College life is good with the right kind of atmosphere given to the students who come from different places.
F aculty and quality of education:
All the faculties are well qualified and experienced over here. And education, curriculum is made in such a way that students are made to acquire more hands on knowledge than just the theory. It is not just the books and classes. Focuses more on practical knowledge than the therotical one. Education quality and the way guidance is given is really good.
Placements:
Placements are really good as many good companies visit this college. Most of the students gets placed and opportunities of internship is provided to the students from wide range of companies.
According to our website, this is the good one.
Hey!
Firstly, Both SRM and KIIT are Deemed universities. So if you are getting both the colleges then congratulations.
Now, both the colleges are reputed colleges and are considered as top colleges after your Iits and Nits.
Though, KIIT is a bit underrated and I dont know why so. Infact I think that Academically as well as faculties also are better than SRM. Curriculum of KIIT is updated in comparison with SRMs curriculum.
Campus of SRM is slightly better than that of KIIT. And Placements record of both the colleges are excellent. KIIT has improved alot in placements and around 85-90% students are getting placed. Same goes with SRM.
If you are getting into CS or IT then there is good scope of getting placed in a good company. If you are hard working and ambitious then that's all you need to get a Good company with average or highest package which is likely to rise upto 20-22 lacs p.a.
Placement cells are of great help. They will prepare you for interview. And they will Also provide internships.
Both the colleges have almost equal status. I still prefer KIIT over SRM. but it's totally upto you. Your hard work and dedication towards your goals is of utmost importance. Good Academic performance is what you need to lead a successful life. So, both the colleges are good and both have their pros and cons but if you are willing to concentrate on your life goals and ambitions then nothing can stop you from moving forward.
All the best!
hello aspirant,
I would strongly recommend you to drop one year, prepare for the exams again , get better marks and then get admission in far better college than kiit without giving donation .
you will definitely feel happy and satisfied and this will definitely boost up your confidence.
hope that helps

Hello,
Computer Science Engineering focuses on a different aspect of computing whereas Electronic and computer engineering is mainly the integration of two different fields of engineering to meet the industry need. Both the branches are good at their places but when it comes to the college in which you have taken admission the placement is more in CSE as compared to the other branches as more companies arrive for the CSE placements. When coming to placements it is not only the college which decides it you have to equally put efforts. If not considering placements then also CSE is a branch which is more interesting than other branches and has a wide scope if you want to do further studies. So the branch you have selected has a bright future but competition is also tough.
You can visit the following link to know more about your college and can compare different branches :
Hope this will help you!
You have a great future ahead!
All the best!
Hey aspirant,
As I have researched on both the colleges I guess both the colleges are good in placement wise but if we talk about KIIT for CSE than it's an amazing opportunity for you as every year the placement is growing in a better way. Almost 95% of students get placed in almost a good package. Getting a seat in CSE in KIIT is a dream of many students out there so if you are getting for CSE you must go for it. NOW, talking about ECE in KIIT then placement does happen but not that great as CSE. Almost 60% students get placement for ECE every year. So, for CSE KIIT is a good option. The highest package offered is 39lpa and whereas the average package offered is 6lpa.
Talking about AMRITA COIMBATORE, ECE here is one of the active departments in the campus. It follows a rigorous programme to make the student match with the current industry standards. The department is equipped with the state of the art laboratories for both research and academic purposes. Department also provides domestic and international internship opportunities to students. So, this college is a good option for both i.e, ECE &CSE.The highest package offered in ECE is 22lpa while the average is around 4-5lpa.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.
Hello aspirant!!
I personally think that SRM is better than KIIT.
First of all the knowledge imparted in all the universities is almost the same so actually the college does'nt matter.
The choice is up to you as to which college you want to join and what all criteria you look into.
Hope this was helpful.
All the best.
hello aspirant,
to be honest , in colleges like KIIT aerospace engineering doesn't work out to be that good,
in such colleges mechanical engineering branch is very good or some other branches as well because the placements records are very good there for those branches.
you should also know that to opt for aerospace/aeronautical engineering the college that you opt for should be prestigious and capable to provide you placements at the end of your academic career. the types of colleges that I am talking about are very less in our country and mostly these colleges are in other countries.
talking about the options given to you, BMS will be better than KIIT because it will have some scope in the field .
but, if you wish to choose for aerospace branch and if you have some other options then try for other better colleges.
hope that helps
KIIT School of Architecture and Planning's infrastructure is truly impressive. Here's what stands out: - *State-of-the-art facilities*: The college boasts fully centralized air conditioning, modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and studios with all necessary instruments. - *Amenities*: The campus offers Wi-Fi connectivity, medical facilities, sports, and gym facilities, although some students have reported slow internet speeds. - *Landscaping*: The campus is beautifully landscaped with nice views, creating a pleasant environment for students to study and relax. - *Shuttle service*: A shuttle service is available to facilitate movement between campuses, as KIIT has a total of 22 campuses. Overall, KIIT School of Architecture and Planning's infrastructure provides students with a comfortable and conducive learning environment, making it an excellent choice for architecture students.
The KIIT has good infrastructure with all the modern facilities in the campus. It has modern labs, air conditioning auditorium, it also provides sports facilities for students, and also hostel facilities are available. The college is good with infrastructure.
The college's Infrastructure is great and has a very premium appeal compared to what I have seen so far in other colleges i have visited. Although of the fees here is very high too but the experience makes it worth it. The ambience, the comfort and the good environment is soothing. Although the current scenarios have been a bit left and right around the college due to 2 frequent suicides and spreading of misinformation, I think else wise it is a great place to be in. Basic amenities like wifi, washrooms, food and all are of top quality and there are not many extra restrictions related to any of it either.
