Hello!
I would suggest you to explore more before taking any final decision.
Aerospace is a niche area, the skills required in industry are beyond the course curriculum of most of the universities. LPU has recognised this and developed the curriculum in consultation with the industry.
Though I have done my engineering in CSE from LPU, but I have my friends who have done Aerospace engineering and I have seen them getting good placements as well. I remember I visited their labs for the first time and I was impressed by the facilities provided by the university.
It has even set up center for space research with mission control facility. https://www.lpu.in/FullNewsRelease/LPU-sets-up-Center-for-Space-Research-with-Mission-Control-facility.php
LPU has set an ambitious goal of developing a satellite LPUSAT-1, which will be launched next year (2021)
The Center will enable students and researchers to communicate with the International Space Station (ISS), download live satellite images, and receive telemetry, Science/engineering data from nano-satellites and larger spacecrafts
The Center will act as a key facility in the field of space research for LPU as well as a virtual lab for Universities, Colleges and Schools in India and the neighboring countries of India
Highlights/Achievements of Aerospace Engineering at LPU:
The students with the guidance of the department and University are very active in the field of automobile research and activities. A student has an Automobile club under Society of Automobiles India, Under which the teams have participated in various competitions by making their vehicle in Supra SAE (Student Formula CAR), Baja SAE India, BAJA SAE USA, Efficycle (LPU Hosted the SAE Efficycle event in Oct-2015. Organized International Go-Kart Championship which is a student-initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. The Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design, and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The department has to its credit more than 48 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference.
I hope it helps you!
All the Best!
Both the colleges are similar. But KIIT college secured rank 24 by NIRF and BMS college secured rank 69 by NIRF.NAAC graded BMS with A++, KIIT with A. CGPA of BMS is 3.83/4, KIIT is 3.48/4.
In terms of placements median salary in BMS for B.Tech is Rs7 lakhs, in KIIT for B. Tech is Rs4.20 lakhs.
Both are rated same by students I.e 4.2/5. KIIT is comparatively bigger than BMS in terms of courses offered, campus size, students intake, total faculty, total enrollments. For Aerospace KIIT charges approximately Rs14.9 lakhs, BMS charges approximately Rs88.2K.
Hope above information helps you in comparison and in finding out which college is the best fit for you.
All the best!!!
Both are great colleges. But, for Aerospace engineering the order of preference should be BMS then KIIT.
In my opinion, you should opt for both and let the result decide.
