hello yash, According to me you are clearly eligible for KIIT with this rank in mechanical according to the cut off, you must go for further councelling.

KIIT, Orissa has huge intake every year. Mechanical engineering is one such branch which is oldest and has huge crowd interested in. According to me, the possibility of you getting into the KIIT will be about 40%, as many students prior to you gets chance to enrol for mechanical engineering. Looking at Indian scenario, students usually prefer either mechanical, civil, IT and software engineering as the best options to educate themselves. But, you must look out for yourself, there are few promising branches for future such as automobile, civil, Instrumentation & control, mechatronics, CS, IT, petrol-chemical, chemical engineering, Plastic & polymer, robotics and automation, biotechnology, biomedical and genetic engineering, Textile technology, animation and film making.

Usually, the universities will be able to take about 7,000–10,000 students

With your general category rank there's no chance at all as CSE is the core branch of engineering hence it's cut offs are usually highest but there are some chances with your women general category though the cut offs aren't out yet but if we look at previous year cut offs the closing rank of CSE is usually around 5k-6k but we can't be completely sure as the cut offs may get affected by various factors like number of applicants fill the form, number of applicants finally appeared in the exam, number of questions asked in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, performance of the candidate, previous year's cut offs trends availability of seats in the institution so go for councelling you might get a seat in the course if the luck is in your favour :)

all the best

Congratulations for such a good score and rank. You can get a good college on that rank. As your requirement is computer science , this makes it more difficult for getting a good college. So be confident and fill the allotment form as per your requirement and there are chances that you can get a good score. Best of luck for your future and and be confident before filling the form .

College Infrastructure

The college's Infrastructure is great and has a very premium appeal compared to what I have seen so far in other colleges i have visited. Although of the fees here is very high too but the experience makes it worth it. The ambience, the comfort and the good environment is soothing. Although the current scenarios have been a bit left and right around the college due to 2 frequent suicides and spreading of misinformation, I think else wise it is a great place to be in. Basic amenities like wifi, washrooms, food and all are of top quality and there are not many extra restrictions related to any of it either.
