It Is little bit different to Electronics and communication.Simply Electronics engineer have to deal with bredboard circuits..And Instrumentation engineer have to deal with Instruments

It is a combination of Elecronics and Instrumnetation Engineering for applied engineering. It is a specilised branch dealing with measurement , control and autonation of processes like industrial instrumentation, process control, bio medical instrumentaion, robotics, VLSI, Embedded system etc.
