As you know that NIT Jaipur is better than IIIT Kancheepuram but the branch you get in nit Jaipur is not so good so according to my view and placement statics you can go for iiit Kancheepuram with mechanical branch.

In last I want to say that go for that branch which you would like or choose branch according to your interest.

As you have secured a CRL rank of 45000 in obc category then it's quite impossible for you to get seat in josaa counseling.
It doesn't matters that whether you belong from home state quota or other state quota, there is no chance that you can get mnit jaipur with this much huge crl rank in obc category.

Even in csab special round counseling, getting seats will be very difficult.
But still you can try for csab special round counseling with Hope. Because last year the highest cutoff closing ranks for other state obc category candidates on the basis of the CRL rank was - 49143 ( for metallurgical and materials engineering, in csab special round 2 counseling).
And the highest cutoff closing ranks for home state obc category candidates on the basis of their crl rank was - 43906 (for metallurgical and materials engineering, in csab special round 2 counseling).

So, with this much crl rank from obc category there are some chances of getting seat in mnit Jaipur during csab special round counseling. But as per seeing this year's rate of increase of cutoff closing ranks in josaa counseling, the chances may become hard even in csab special round counseling.

Now if you have verified all your documents and also submitted your seat acceptance fee then you have to wait for colleges to reopen because as we all know that due to an outbreak of Corona Virus as a global pandemic all the educational institutions has been closed. Now when college will reopen you have to carry the seat acceptance letter to the college and you have to submit it there to confirm your permanent seat in that particular institution (MNIT Allahabad in your case).

1. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SURATHKAL - 22
2. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY JAIPUR - 37

But, apart from rank prospective, what matters more is your interest in the branch. This is wholly your decision, just go for the stream you are interested in, because this will be good for you in long-run. Both the branches are equally essential in their corresponding fields, so go with the one you find yourself interested in.

First of all you should be confirmed about your self interest whether your interested into civil engineering or computer science as both the branches offer good scope in India as well as abroad.

Secondly if compared between NIT Jaipur and HBTU Kanpur, HBTU Kanpur has a great placement record since the previous years compared to NIT Jaipur. Many big companies visit the campus for recruitment and offer great salary packages for freshers as well.

Also Computer science and engineering is a great career option with a wide range of job profiles after completion. As the world is getting much depend upon robotics and computers, it will continue to increase in the upcoming years as well.

There is too much requirement for software engineers, web developers and more. Also a student completed CSE would have great salary packages as a fresher into famous companies like Google, Microsoft, IBM as well.

So overall my preference to you is to go for CSE in HBTU Kanpur.

As you have secured 22000 ews rank in jee mains, then your overall CRL rank must be around more than 100000. Now as you have secured this much CRL rank (approximate), then there is no chance that you can get, mnit jaipur. Even if you belong home state quota then also you cannot get mnit jaipur with this much crl rank.

Now as you are telling that your rank is lying between 20000 to 25000 in csab list, then dear student it is the crl rank, not the ews category rank.

Last year the highest cutoff closing rank for mnit jaipur for ews candidates on basis of CRL rank was -  46725 ( for metallurgical branch in csab round 2 counseling).

So, if you have seen the closing ranks for csab from the csab list, then they are all category wise CRL ranks not the individual category wise ranks.
Therefore you will not get any branch in mnit Jaipur with this much ews rank.
