MNIT Jaipur Facilities

Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur has a large number of facilities for students. MNIT Jaipur facilities are a library, hostel for boys and girls, canteen, mess and health care. National Institute of Technology Jaipur facilities include sports, gym, ATM and transportation.

The boys' and girls' hostels of the university provide comfortable accommodation to the students. The MNIT Jaipur has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities for the students. A brief description of all the NIT Jaipur facilities is given below.

Boys Hostel
The instructional buildings have been so located that these are fairly near to both the hostels and the staff quarters and are at a walking distance from both.
Girls Hostel
MNIT Jaipur facilities include separate hostels for girls. All the necessary facilities are available for the students. Recreational facilities such as sports, cafeteria, a common room, a TV room, etc.
Medical/Hospital
Full-fledged Dispensary is available in the campus. It is supervised by a residential Medical Officer. The services of a part-time Homeopathy Doctor and a Lady Doctor are also available to students and to the family members of the staff.
Library
MNIT Jaipur has a spacious and well-equipped library which is being run according to an open access system. It has a rich collection of about 1,33,600 volumes of books, periodicals, reports and reference material. In addition to the books from the main library, some more books are issued to students from the book bank also. To the students belonging to the weaker section(SC/ST), some additional books are given from the Book Bank. Xeroxing facility is available to the users at very nominal rate. There is a video viewing facility. Large number of books, periodicals, video cassettes and CD-ROMs are available. The library is being fully computerized. The CDNET facilities are to be developed very soon. The library has procured LIBSYS Software(Multi-user) and started the computerisation of in-house data.
Sports
NIT Jaipur facilities are available for sports and games and for co-curricular activities. The campus is well laid out with roads, electrical installations, water supply and underground drainage system etc.
I.T Infrastructure
The Computer Centre, a centralised computing facility of the Institute since 1989, caters to the need of different academic departments and various sections of the Institute by providing and managing extensive computing & networking facilities to the Institute. To facilitate the use of the latest information technology in the Institute's teaching, learning, research and administration; to provide an excellent network environment that facilitates the access and exchange of information; to put innovation in technology transfer; to assist the Institute in its mission; to enable faculty, staff and students to use the computer and network resources effectively and efficiently; and to aim to provide the best quality IT services in the region, the Computer Centre at MNIT Jaipur has continued to re-engineer the process of its service operations for increased productivity and better quality.
Cafeteria
One canteen near the instructional zone, another near the hostels and one Nescafe coffee shop provide refreshments to the students and the staff during and beyond the working hours.
Banks/ATMs
There is a branch of the ICICI Bank Ltd. and a branch of SBI Bank in the campus. Other reputed banks such as BOB, OBC, and PNB etc. are within walking distance from the institute campus.
Guest Room/Waiting Room
There are two guest houses in the campus to cater the needs of guests and students.

College Infrastructure

Malaviya National Institute of Technology(MNIT) Jaipur have a lecture complex known as VLTC where all classes are held. It have separate hostels for both boys and girls. It have well equipped labs and various research facilities. Various sports tournament and cultural programs are organized to enhance the capability of students.

The college itself is not that old compared to other government colleges and the infra is alright but there is no architectural beauty in the buildings they are just bland. Although everything is well maintained, it does not have anything special about it

For MNIT Jaipur admission, especially in engineering through JEE Main , admission is mainly based on JEE Main rank and percentile .

Is admission to MNIT Jaipur possible with 64 percentile ST?

Generally, the closing percentile for ST category candidates at MNIT Jaipur is much higher than 64 percentile.
Usually, ST category closing percentiles for MNIT Jaipur engineering seats are around 85–90+ percentile (varies by branch and year).
64 percentile is quite low for direct admission to MNIT Jaipur through JEE Main counseling.

Conclusion:

With 64 percentile (ST category) , it is unlikely to get a seat at MNIT Jaipur through JEE Main counseling.

With 89.1 percentile in JEE Main, getting admission in MNIT (Malaviya National Institute of Technology) is quite tough, especially in popular branches like CSE or ECE. If you belong to a reserved category like SC, ST, or OBC and have a home state quota (Rajasthan), your chances might improve for less competitive branches. But for general category, chances are very low. You can still apply and also look at other NITs, GFTIs, or good state colleges.
