Hello aspirant,
It's slight difficult to predict your rank with the percentile of marks you have mentioned, but considering your pwd rank under 2000, you can surely get mnit Allahabad, but you have to compromise with the branches. You can get the following branches in mnit, following the previous year trends.
  • Production and industrial engineering
  • Bio technology
Hope it helps.

Hello aman,

It depends on your intrest if you are passionate about coding and want to grab a high package at the end of four years and if you want to work  with chemicals and want to work in any chemical company then go for chemical engineering.

Dear Aspirant

First of all Congratulating you on your nice performance and I would like to tell you that based on two given choice and if you were to take my opinion, I would suggest you to take admission in IIIT pune because it has an edge over MNIT allahabad in terms of location, hostel, sports and campus. While looking forward to placement which is more better in MNIT but the branch you are offered which gives more preferences to IIIT Allahabad, since electronic and communication engineering is core branch unlike industrial engineering. So choose smartly considering my views.

Good luck for your counselling procedure :)

Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

The Answer depends what are you expecting to achieve with the M.Tech in Renewable Degree.

  1. Placement- Hardly any placement for M.Tech in Renewable Degree
  2. PhD - Quite good chances of getting an admission in PhD after the degree completion.
  3. Can get into private/government research organisations as a JRF , research scholar etc.
  4. Mostly M.Tech students try for Government jobs while they pursue the degree so if one is interested in doing so one can surely try.

Signal Processing and Control branch :

The placement is okay. Through this you can also go for research and government jobs.

Dear Aspirant,

In case of no information or partial information is received from any Board/council, Cutoffs will be taken as per clause no. 13, Annexure 2(b) of JoSAA Business rules, reproduced below:

In case a Board does not provide information about the qualifying marks for the top 20 percentile, the candidate will have to produce a certificate from the respective Board stating that he/she/it falls within the top 20 percentile of successful candidates. If the candidate fails to do so, then the qualifying marks for the CBSE will be used.

Well irrespective of the percentile obtained in the JEE MAIN paper 2 you have to apply for the JOSAA counselling and then you have seven rounds of counselling through which you will get admission to these institutes. There will also be special rounds in which you can apply.

I mean it is very very difficult to get a seat in Malviya National Institute of Technology with your given score. Maybe you might get Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering but that is on very off chances so try for other colleges also and all the best.

Yes they ask you for your reporting date only so that they can get an idea of how many candidates are supposed to turn up on a particular day. It does not mean that you are confined to reporting at a particular day you can report anytime during the required period.

 Hello abhishek,

Acc to previous years cut off  rank vs percentile analysis your rank would lie between 17,490-20k i am assuming this acc to previous years analysis this might be different from current years fallout last year cut off rank for general category without ews was 4373(Home state) and 4879 (other state) for cs in mnit jaipur , for branches like chemical and metallurgy was 19712(home state)  and 24140(other state) so you might not have a chance for cs but for other branches like chemical and metallury (without ews),

Now coming to your question whether you will get cs theough ews cannot be predicted with 100% sureity as ews quota is implemented from this year only we do not have any previous years data available for it to predict ranks for it, it will completely depend on the fact that how many candidates from ews apply for cs to mnit jaipur and how many of them are above you proportional to no of seats for ews so you might have a chance/might not have a chance depending completely on this years merit fallout .

Hope this helps.

Hello!

VIT is really good in case of infrastructure. Placement wise is also improving. If you get CSE or ECE in all three then i would suggest you to take up an NIT. If you are very branch specific and you are getting your favourite branch in VIT but not in other two, then go for VIT.

College Infrastructure

The college itself is not that old compared to other government colleges and the infra is alright but there is no architectural beauty in the buildings they are just bland. Although everything is well maintained, it does not have anything special about it
