Hello Priya,
Congratulations for your performance in the jee main.according to careers360 rank predictor your rank is around 44k .
According to previous year cutoff
Nit Calicut chemical cutoff is 22k,so you have very negligible chances to fetch a seat in nit Calicut chemical.still you have a second chance in April.
All the best!
Good luck!

The NIT Calicut is one of the institutes of national importance for Technical Education in India. The NIT offers the MBA course for a duration of 2 years. NIT Calicut offers the specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human resource management, Operations and Systems.

Hey Anil
THis time your rank will be decided by the percentile score not by marks.
And admission is based upon the rank and i think according to the previous year cut offs you should secure atleast 99+percentile so that you secure rank in top 1 percent so that you get civil in NIT calicut( may vary depending upon the other students choices and priorities and your state).
(but your rank may vary and nothing can be said right now). You have to wait till april result for final ranking.
Good luck
Hello. You have a decent score. It means that almost 22.65% of the total no. of students who appeared in the exam are ahead of you. (Tot. students- 874469)
It is difficult to tell if you will be getting nit college now since your percentile and rank may differ because it depends on the tot. no. of students appearing in the April exam. NTA will release the Overall merit list based on the no. of students appeared and best of two attempts of the students appearing twice. So to know your exact rank and a particular college cutoff you need to wait until the April exam ends.
But for now you can check your rank from the below formula.
Rank - (100-percentile score)*(874469/100)
According to this your approx rank is 198067.
But this is oviously not your final rank as it will be different if the total no. of students appearing in the April exam changes (most oviously no. of students appearing in April will be higher).
Since this percentile and two attempts system is adopted from this year only so I cannot comment on the exact cutoff for different qoutas. But in general from the previous cutoffs I can tell you that any rank below 2,00,000 will get you qualified to sit for JEE Advanced.
I would recommend you to appear for the 2nd attempt and try to score 80+ percentile to get a good college.

Hope this helps. For any query you can comment down below.
The cutoff varies year to year, Category wise, Home state/ Other state quota, branches wise etc. So it would be tough to tell you the exact but try to score more than 220 in JEE Main Entrance Exam to get the top branches. You can check 2018 cutoff rank with the given below link.

Hey Adarsh,
NIT calicut is better than engineering college trivandrum.
Now due to some reason ranking of calicut is decreases but it does not mean that its value is decreases , no.
So also the placement of nit c is very good in other field.
i thing you should know that placement of arch is least compare to other branches.
Good Luck!
