Last year cutoff for NIT Calicut of Biotechnology Engineering for general category was-

Home State quota - (Opening rank) 9518

                                       Closing rank- 33271

Other State- (Opening Rank) 16349

                          Closing rank- 28524

Yes NIT is based in JEE marks

Could you specify the examination in which you got this mark as there were lots of results had been published it is difficult to understand.

          May be you can get seat there may be not with this rank in JEE mains Paper 2. Though you have qualified JEE Mains Paper 2 but you can not get seat in any of the government Architecture college offering BE. Arch. as your rank is very very less in JEE mains Paper 2. You should also apply for other govt. Arch. Colleges under home state quota.

Below is the cut off for JEE Main paper 2 2017 to get admission in NITs :

Cut off Closing rank 2017 are as follows-

• General- 4000
• OBC- 1489 (Category Rank)
• ST- 433 (Category Rank)
• SC- 503 (Category Rank)
