Both of them are very similar in terms of faculty and placement. however NIT calicut should be preferred over NIT rourkela. You can also choose one near your home.

Congrats on getting such a good rank. NIT Calicut and NIT Rourkela are both good NITs. But, when coming to NIRF by MHRD, Rourkela is ranked at 15, while Calicut is at 50. With this, one cannot say Rourkela is better. It depends on many other factors. I

NIT Calicut has outstanding infrastructure that fully supports academic and personal development. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with modern teaching aids. The laboratories are well-maintained, advanced, and updated with the latest equipment. The central library is vast, with an excellent collection of books, journals, and digital resources. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, including in hostels, ensuring uninterrupted access to learning materials.

Giving review on my college is a good experience.

College Infrastructure

We are having good lab facilities,xerox shops, but in hostel canteen facilities are not there. There are canteens in campus,but inside hostel,canteen facility is nill.stationary, xerox facility is there , also study rooms, common room facility is good. But wifi may trouble sometimes ????

It was life changing to be here in the first place.

College Infrastructure

One of the largest engineering colleges in Kerala build a long time back standing out in infrastructure and a large campus. Classrooms are big enough to accommodate the large population of students, especially the first year classrooms, seminar halls and auditoriums are the finest. Regular maintainance of living spaces keeps it clean and tidy. Food is good offering us to try a very vast variety of cuisines across India all in one place.
