Hello Student
To get a seat.in any NIT candidates has to appear inJee mains exam with a sc ore of atleast 90 percentile of marks for general candidate. But for EWS candidates the percentile of marks in jee mains is 85-80 percentile of marks in jee mains for below category NIT like NIT Goa,NIT Hamirpur,NIT Agartala,NIT  Srinagar,NIT Nagpur,NIT Silchar, the rank required for these NITs mentioned above within aiq 30,000.As you have the rank of 28,000 in  jee mains so you have a chance for admission in any of the NITs among 31NITs in India.

See if you have already joined the online Bachelor of Science course in Data Science by Indian Institute of Technology Madras, then you are only doing the second course for validation and for getting a formal engineering degree. So, you should select a college in an urban setting as it will take your career further due to the presence of industries.

So going by this the order should be:

NIT Nagpur Mining
PEC Chandigarh Civil
NIT Hamirpur MS

You can also use our college predictor to see your chances in all the colleges:

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

Hi,

It would have been very helpful, had you mentioned your category. So, I won't be able to rightly predict your chances of getting into NIT Hamirpur, as cutoffs vary for each category as well. But your rank is decent, and you have a home state quota also, so based on that you might have a chance of securing these branches in the college :

• Mechanical Engineering

• Material Science Engineering

• Electronics and Communication Engineering

• Civil Engineering

Even you can predict your college based on your JEE Main rank by using the JEE Main college predictor - https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

Good luck.

Hello Aspirant,

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that the closing CRL rank for Electronics and Communication Engineering  in National Institute of Technology Hamirpur in 2021 was around 63k so with the mentioned CRL rank you have very GOOD chances to get Electronics and Communication Engineering in National Institute of Technology Hamirpur.

hello,

thank you for connecting to careers360.com . the rank what you secured neither will result a seat in NIT nor in GFTIs . so my suggestion is to attempt all the other private institutions examinations to have more number of options to choose from . all the best .

Hii

No you can't get seat in NIT hamirpur in any branches. The lasta cuttoff for home state  is 95700 rank for branch material science and technology. But your rank is very less than compare to this rank.

Hello Aarushi,

Congratulations for your result. 38989 under OBC category is a descent score. It is quite difficult to predict as trends changes every year. But we can predict on the based of segregated data which is collected from past years. Based on that you won't be able to get any branch in NIT Hamirpur with this score. It was possible under state category but unfortunately not for other state.

You can check the previous year cutoff of NIT Hamirpur in the link given below:

Thankyou

hello aspirant,

With the above mentioned rank in OBC category and based on the previous year JEE mains cutoff, you have very little chances of getting NIT Hamirpur or any other good NIT's, even having the Home state quota,  because for OBC student, the minimum rank required to get admission in good NIT's will be around 16K-17K according to the previous year JEE mains cutoff.

But you can surely get some other Private engineering Colleges, so you can go for that,

To know more about the JEE mains Cutoff, you can follow the below mentioned link : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

To know about your chances of admissions in other colleges, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more : https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

I hope that this will help.
