According to JEE Mains 2019 the cut off ranks for CSE in NIT Jamshedpur is given below :

ALL INDIA QUOTA : 15306

JHARKHAND : 21630

These are the closing ranks for female candidates (General category).There might be slight variations in the closing ranks every year.To get admission in NIT Jamshedpur you should score above 200 marks in JEE Mains.

no you cannot your branch even throughout the course because internal sliding is not available at NIT jamshedpur .once a branch is alloted to the student at the time of admission that will be final and cannot be modified during the course.

Doing B.Tech in Metallurgy from NIT Jamshedpur is a good choice. The faculty are good and they provide the appropriate content. There are plenty of opportunities in Metallurgy and some of the top companies like TATA, Vedanta steel etc visit the college to recruit students. The placement record in NIT Jamshedpur is good when compared to other NIT's. But you should work hard and make use of four years and gain knowledge. So, metallurgy is a very good choice as it has a lot of scope in the future.

see you can calculate your predictable rank by 100 - (your total percentile) * 869010 /100, so your overall rank will be around 96373, however if the number of candidates increased in jee main april session exam , this will have effect on your current percentile and rank. however it also depends on gender based category and all india or state quota. but at this score chances is less,

Im sorry to inform you but with this rank its difficult to get admission in nit jamshedpur with obt category, going with previous year cutoffs the last rank to get admission in metallurgical and materials engineering was 18,375(Femal Statequota).

Cut off vary every year on various factors like the level of question in the entrance examination and total number of applicants in that examination.

You don't need to show OBC certificate or Income Certificate to avail benefits of home state quota.
The state from where you did your 12th board exam is your Home state quota by default.Since, you did your schooling from Jharkhand you can get seat under home state quota.

NIT Jamshedpur is better than NIT Silchar in terms of placements, environment. Both the campuses are good but you prefer NIT Jamshedpur as it has better faculty and placement opportunities provided by the campus.
