Good Luck.

Dear Aspirant,

For mechanical you will find it hard as the closing cutoff for mechanical is almost around 8k for the past two years. Moreover, there are no seats available till special round in spot round last year for mechanical.

However, you can hope for Electrical & Electronics engineering in special rounds provided that seats are available till then.

Hope this helps.

Thank You.

Hi,

Yes, If you are satisfied by your branch then I would surely recommend you to freeze your seat because it would be the last round for JOSAA. You have to freeze your seat and not leave it on float. Although you can go for special rounds of counseling which will be held later you may no be able to get this seat.

So just go and freeze your seat.

I hope I was able to clear your query

Thank You

Hello aspirant,
Following the previous year trends,
The cut off or closing ranks for nit jamshedpur for electrical and mechanical branch in 7th round was 8805 and 8510 respectively. So it is quite difficult for you to get these branches there
However you can get branches like civil engineering and metallurgy and material science in 6th round of counselling.
Hope it helps.

Hello aspirants
Can you please mention your cml rank so that i can have better approach for your questions.
Moreover through the jcece you can not get admission in BIT MESRA and NIT Jamshedpur.
Through this you can get admission in bit sindri and some other state engineering college like chaibasa engineering college, ramgarh engineering college and also some private institutions like RVS engineering college etc.
Hope this helps!

See, if you seek great placements after your btech, forget civil at MNNIT, even IIT Bombay civil may not look lucrative. Civil at MNNIT is commendable for ese or gate aspirants . The faculty is by far better than those in non-core branches , highly motivated (a few) , and know their target(max slections in govt services).

College placements in NIT Jamshedpur are fine. About 90% of students get placed. Most importantly this year BPCL took 7- 8 students from EEE @ 16 lpa

Hello mohit,

Sorry to say but with one lakh rank in jee mains you cannot get a seat in nit jamshedpur as last year the last seat was alloted at 60k so this year also the expected cutoff rank will be more or less the same so better try for other colleges.
