Good infrastructure and crowd , placement issues

      College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is very nice, specially the new tech park 2.When I was in first year the university building was also very nice. Hospital inside the campus consist of every facility and the playgrounds and swimming pool is also very well maintained. College Library is one of the best i have ever seen.

      Academics

i am pursuing BTech CSE w/s Software Engg. which one of the best degree in terms of placement and academics here in this college depends on your internal marks, if you maintain good marks in your internals you can easily score in your end sems according to your preparations.

      Placements

I will give it as average because what i have heard from seniors its not very good or very bad. It totally depends on your skills . You have to work very hard to get placed in big companies. If you are average student placement in big companies is hard.

      Value for Money

College consist of many scholarships according to your entrance exam marks & different criteria. Return of investment according to the fees you are paying is not that good if you do not have any good scholarship

      Campus Life

Campus Life is very good , very good infrastructure , good hostels, every facility from food to hospitality is provided by the college inside the campus by college. In time for hostels is also decent i.e. 9PM for boys and 7PM for girls

      Others

The crowd of college is so nice , you can find students from almost every state that makes it even better

College infrastructure is really good and has nice connectivity from college to City and has lot of places nearby including from shops for everyday needs to places to hangout within campus and outside campus

      Academics

Academics is very serious here you have to be very serious about attendance and cycle tests here you have to be very good here as it is easy to score good here and you have high competition around you

      Placements

Depends on your hardwork entirely depends on cgpa you have to make sure you don't have any back in your resume as they filter on the basis of your cgpa and side project and your club contribution rest good

      College Infrastructure

Srm Main Campus is packed with all the best infrastructure like Central library, massive classrooms and modern teaching aids for a great learning experience Every classroom has open wifi with great connectivity for academic purposes, and almost every classroom has projector with soft board for presentation purposes The buildings are not the most aesthetically pleasing but are very functional even thought some are under maintenance at times. Srm has one of Asia's biggest air conditioned Auditorium that has been used for a number of international and national conferences, events and other things.

      Academics

As a B.com Corporate Secretaryship student at SRM, the staff are as encouraging as any other deemed to be universities and our class average mark ranges around 60~70%. The departments are supportive for extra curricular activites outside the college and inside the college too, with academic fairs and monthly conferences held at the many auditoriums. The curriculum is updated yearly and revised for every new batch entering, with extra curriculum subjects being included for almost every course. Language subjects are included for the first year, while our batch(2023-2026) had elective subjects for two years.

      Placements

As a final year student the, SRM is providing the best placement training and preparation with partnership with T.I.M.E institute, but at extra cost over the course fees unfortunately. Placement opportunities are very good and on par with other top institutions of chennai, and the college staff are helpful with the placement process.

      Value for Money

As far as course fees cost and other college fees goes it's affordable for most students and each course are reasonably priced with no hidden costs mostly. The only downside is the Transportation fees if you opt for college bus facility(which is air conditioned) it is very expensive for the inflexible bus timings and bus comfort, other than that it's a good college to choose if You are looking for a mid range under graduate college.

      Campus Life

Campus life varies hugely depending on a lot of factors, for instance a day scholar like myself lose out on initial college life opportunities like events and tournaments due to after college timings , and department exclude entry for high level events are also there so it is not really great in that aspect, but over all there are multiple huge events, roadshows, stall/bazaar happening every week which is available for the students , the campus is massive and packed with canteens, hangout places, parks, etc.

      Others

Srm has a lot of reputation for a number of reasons, but as far as big campus universities go in chennai, srm has the optimal balance of all things with the right pricing and convience albeit while lacking few features and stuff. It is a good college

      College Infrastructure

SRM IST Chennai shines with its remarkable infrastructure—offering world-class academics, extracurricular spaces, and student amenities all within a thoughtfully designed campus. It balances scholarly needs with comfort, convenience, and community, making it a compelling choice for those seeking a vibrant campus experience.

      Academics

Academics at SRM IST offer plenty of opportunities through diverse programs, global collaborations, and a well-qualified faculty base. However, actual experience depends heavily on department, faculty, and how actively students engage—some praise the manageable workload and placement prep, while others call attention to lapses in academic rigor or institutional priorities.

      Placements

SRM IST continues to perform strongly in placements, particularly in engineering streams. The overall metrics (offers, package averages, recruiter diversity) remain competitive, with top performers achieving standout packages. Personalized outcomes vary by department, preparation, and batch performance.

      Value for Money

SRM offers great value in CSE with strong placements and global exposure, but high fees and average returns in other branches make ROI highly dependent on student effort and stream chosen.

      Campus Life

SRM Chennai campus life is vibrant with active clubs, fests, sports, and cultural events. The large, green campus fosters a friendly atmosphere, promoting overall growth beyond academics.

      Placements

placement really depends on one self you we study and bring cgpa , college is providing good education average salry is 10 lpa but it solely depends on interview and all highest package went to 50 lakhs

      Value for Money

it is really value for money i paid 3.75 lakh for the cse in iot cource i thing the type of education they are providing really desrve shotou, despite of language barrier they are very proffesional in the way they teach.

      Campus Life

We have all the required lab facilities Libraries laboratories everything has the complete facility Very active extra curricular activity Of course the hostel is hygienic, but the food, quality is not the best

      Academics

I'm currently studying B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering because I'm passionate about combining healthcare with technology. The curriculum covers core subjects like human anatomy, medical electronics, and biomechanics, which makes it highly interdisciplinary and relevant to current healthcare innovations. The quality of teaching is generally good, with some faculty being very supportive and experienced, especially in core biomedical subjects. However, a few subjects could be taught more practically. I feel the curriculum is mostly updated, but there's still scope to include more industry-relevant tools, hands-on training, and recent advancements like AI in healthcare. Overall, it's a promising course if you're inte

      Placements

The placement quality at my college is moderate, especially for core biomedical roles. While IT and software companies visit frequently, core biomedical placements are limited. Around 60–70% of students from our department get placed, but many end up in non-core fields like software or business roles. Top recruiters include TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, and a few healthcare startups. Average package ranges from 3–4.5 LPA, while core roles may offer slightly lower initially. For better placements in biomedical, students often pursue higher studies or internships to build their profile.

Yes, my college has excellent infrastructure with well-equipped labs,Wi-Fi, and sports facilities. Everything is well maintained and supports smooth learning. The campus is spacious, clean, and is very comfortable.

      Academics

I'm studying B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering because I'm passionate about technology and problem-solving. The quality of teaching is excellent, with supportive faculty, practical learning, and updated curriculum.

      Placements

The placement quality at my college is excellent. Around 90% of students get placed. The highest package offered was 52 LPA for a Computer Science student. The average salary package is around 8 LPA. The placement process was smooth, well-coordinated, and pleasant.

      Value for Money

It's costs around 4.75 lakh per year And we get quality education, great placements, and excellent facilities. It is worth if you use it wisely . There are a plenty of opportunities to explore and grow here.

      Campus Life

Best: The campus is clean, spacious, and well-equipped with modern classrooms and labs. Worst: It gets more crowded during breaks and peak hours. The college is in a safe location. The staffs are friendly and supportive.

      College Infrastructure

The facilities provided by the college are abundant and well maintained. The campus is clean and is regularly monitored except few nicks and knacks here and there. The food is prepped with atmost care from what I’ve seen.

      Academics

The teachers are well trained and they readily engage with us during the sessions. They try their best to keep us updated with the day to day advancement in our syllabus. Few of them might come off strong in the beginning but they usually just mind their business and get their job done without troubling others

      Placements

From what I’ve seen and heard, the placements have quite dropped in Srm which is understandable considering less vacancy for job openings.but apart from that I’m pretty sure most of them do get placed at a arguably mid company

      Value for Money

I think the college does provide the students with all the opportunities and resources they can. Using these resources for their betterment lies solely in the hands of the students.try to expand your domain with all the help provided

      Campus Life

The best feature is the vast spread of the college and the worst feature is probably the fact that it is situated far away from the main city. The students are friendly and the mix of various people from different places really does make this college stand out from others. Medical emergencies can be handled easily and it is quite safe

      Others

many rumours go about on how this college is the epitome of “bad influences” but trust me that depends solely on who you befriend and your own choices.

Vibrant campus life, strong academics, placements worth it.

      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is well developed with spacious classrooms equipped with smart boards and Ac's,WiFi is available throughout the campus, we've also got librarie with wide range of book and journals. The hostel and canteen facilities are decent and hygienic too.

      Academics

The academics here are well structured with higly experienced faculties who are always ready to help you out.The syllabus is updated and it covers both practical and theoretical aspects. Like I'm from ECE department so subjects like digital electronics, communication systems, and VLSI are taught with hands-on lab sessions and real-world examples

      Placements

Placements at SRM KTR for ECE are good enough, with a good number of students getting offers from top IT companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. The average package ranges around ₹8–10LPA, but a few students got high-paying super-dream offers from companies like Oracle and Amazon. The highest salary was 52 lakhs from CS department.

      Value for Money

SRM KTR offers a vibrant campus life, decent academics, and good placement support. However, the fees are on the higher side, so it feels truly worth it only if you actively make use of all opportunities like internships, clubs, research, and skill-building. For students who are driven and make the most of what’s offered, it can be a good value for money investment.

      Campus Life

Campus life at SRM Kattankulathur is fun and full of energy there’s always something happening, from fests to club activities. You meet people from all over, and it’s easy to find your group and vibe. With comfy hostels, good food spots, and a lively atmosphere, it really feels like a second home.

      Academics

academics is well structured and updates with well exoerienced staff who did masters from top universities in india. they cover both core elective subjects and as well has alot of exposure during internships and projects .

      Placements

srm kattankulathur , they are known for 100 percent placement records both in It field and core . highest package ranged from 20-25lpa for IT and 7lpa for core although it may vary it still provides exposure which might be helpful to even land an off campus placement.

      Value for Money

I do not know about other departments but for chemical it is worth it as there is alot of exposure .

      Campus Life

friendly campus emvironment which is pretty linient with friendly teachers
