VIT Bhopal Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

VIT University also provides hostel facilities for girls. The hostel rooms are well-furnished and well-ventilated and are equipped with all basic amenities and a cot, chair, study table, study lamp, bookshelf and cupboard. Other facilities include a first-aid centre, photocopy facility, pharmacy, beauty salon, laundry service, dance and music classes, utility shops, etc. The hostels also have a mess, where hygienically prepared delicious food is served. A modern kitchen and dining area are also there. The hostels are fully enabled with Wi-Fi. A gym facility in the hostels is also available.

The university provides 24X7 wi-fi facility to the students and faculty members. Students and faculty members can use the facility for academic purposes at any time from anywhere inside the campus. The wi-fi connection is secured and is supported by the high-end firewall.

VIT University has a central library and is fully air-conditioned. Fire alarms and CCTV cameras are also installed. The library has a vast collection of textbooks, reference books on engineering, science, management, biotechnology, social science,  humanities, etc. The library also has national and international journals, periodicals, CDs, DVDs, e-books, e-journals and many more. There is a separate reading room for the students and faculty members. LIBSYS software with RFID technology is installed in the library to fully automate the day-to-day administrative work. The library also uses Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) for easy access to library resources.

The university auditorium is a large hall, equipped with modern audio and visual aids, LCD projectors, speakers and many more. The auditorium is used for organising meetings, events and seminars.

The university laboratories are equipped with modern instruments and apparatus. VIT University Bhopal laboratory facilities help students in doing practical experiments and project works. Each department has its own laboratories with a lab technician to help and guide the students.

Students have to apply for the hostel facility at the time of admission. VIT Bhopal boys hostel facilities include furniture, appliances, mess, gym, wi-fi and many more. Utility shops, food kiosks, pharmacies, and visitor's rooms are also there in the hostels. Single seater to 6 bedded rooms with both AC and non AC are available. The boy's hostel facilities have an indoor badminton court. There is a separate vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess in the hostels. Hygienic food is served in the mess.

VIT Bhopal gym facility is available for the students, staff and faculty members. The gym is fully air-conditioned and has a trainer to guide the students.

The university has an on-campus Indian Bank facility, which provides all kinds of banking services. 24X7 ATM is also operational.

VIT Bhopal cafeteria serves all-time meals, snacks and beverages to the students and staff members at reasonable prices. The food is hygienically prepared and is fresh and nutritious.

Indoor and outdoor games like chess, carrom, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis, cricket, hockey, football, basketball, volleyball many others are provided by the VIT University Bhopal sports department. Courts and fields are regularly maintained. The university also provides a coach to train and guide the students. Students are encouraged to participate in various competitions organised both inside and outside the campus. The campus also has a swimming pool.

VIT Bhopal medical facilities include basic first-aid. The medical clinic also has trained medical officers. The medical treatment is provided free of cost to the students, university staff and faculty members.

The university has smart classrooms.  VIT Bhopal classroom facilities include LCD projectors, speakers and other advanced technologies to support effective teaching and learning.
