Admission Process

Admissions to B.tech programs in Amrita are based on ranks secured in either Amrita Entrance Exam (AEEE) 2020 or JEE Mains 2020.
70% of the seat allotment will be through AEEE 2020 and 30% through JEE Mains 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: Candidates, whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 1999.
Educational Qualification: A pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination with a minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry and with not less than 55% individually in each of these three subjects.

The college follows value based education system. The college provides good infrastructure like fully facilitated labs for hands-on sessions. The college also enhanced with faculties who are very approachable. Research labs are there. They also offer placements from top Multi National Companies. College hostel is also well furnished.

Had an awesome college life, got to learn new things, infrastructure was good. College placements were conducted yearly. There was no hostel facility in our college. New buildings were being built up while we were in our last year and now it has been a complete makeover for our college. Overall it was a fun time studying there and the faculty for English honours was just mind blowing.

Amrita is a place which will surely bring out the best in you. You'll learn how to think critically, make decisions on your own, finish projects and assignments at the last minute etc. However, it does have a hefty fee structure. And had grown exponentially in the four years that I'd been there. The college infrastructure is average when compared to the one at Coimbatore. The faculty here is more like a mirror. If you show interest in learning, then they will too. If you just want to sit through and get attendance and want to just pass with minimum marks, they won't force you. Some try to make you learn by asking you to write all these assignments. But you copy it from the one guy who writes on his own. I'd ask you to be that guy. With all his eccentricities, he still got into Microsoft. Guess that tells you a bit about the placements here. A little hard work may land you in an IT company like TCS or Infosys. But a little more would get you Microsoft and Bosch and what not. Ultimately, you need good communication skills because you should know how to ask for what you know you want. And this is after knowing what you really want of course.
