The college is overall nice as per infrastructure. The quality of education here is also appreciable. Although being an affiliated one, the college stands out among the rankers in terms of placement records. It has its own reputation among the companies which annually participate during placements sessions.

1. Nice Infrastructure. Academy Block must be rebuild. 2.Everything of Sports But no Coach to teach. 3.Good exposure to industry but not the good industries. 4. Friend made my college enjoyable. 5.Not Placed Yet. 6.From hostels lesser rules only. 7. Faculty crowd is the worst faculty crowd of my life always talking about term work and attendance.(Subjects are not interesting though(university problem)) 8.Student crowd, I will say simply best cause they are cool motivated and dynamic. 9.No answer.

Every infrastructure that you can imagine, the college has. Basketball court to Squash court. Sports, extra circicullar, seniors, every things here is near to perfect. The events that were conducted made my college life more enjoyable. Hostel is good and mess cleanliness is good. But the food is below average, but cheap.

Great college with good infrastructure ,placement record . Crowd here is mixed hailing from all parts of the country .Teaching is good enough for clearing doubts and teaching topics ,but in the self study has to be done after all this is a college not a school. I would recommend this college to everyone , you ll surely do good in life after passing from this college , that i can vouch for ;)

The faculty are very good and experienced.Placements are very good with average package of 6 lakhs.Hostel life is well disciplined and ragging is strictly prohibited. This college holds one of the best inter college technical, cultural and sports fests in the state.Infrastructure facilities are good though it lacks advanced modern equipments present in colleges like IITs.The college has a robotics club. The college competes in automobile competetions like BAJA(off-roading) and SUPRA(racing).Research works are limited at present.

I think the college infrastructure is very good.I think the industry exposure to the students should be increased. The college life was enjoyable as the facilities provided are very good as well as the teaching staff and the seniors are also very good. The hostel facilities are very good with continuous supply of water and electricity. The wi-fi facility is also very good with adequate speed. The student crowd is very good in our college. In the evening time I find people all around me and a sound of chit-chat is always in the air.The college is affordable as it is providing so many facilities at reasonable rates.

AIT has all the infrastructure you need for an awesome college life. Be it academic block, wifi provided, cafeteria or sports facilities. You name any sports, and AIT has the infrastructure for it. AIT boasts of the best student crowd. AIT has students from all the parts of the country. As far as faculties are concerned, I m in IT branch and I can say we have the most fun faculty (atleast I think so). No. of Phd faculties in the college is a problem. So if you are into research and stuff, u might find it difficult to find proper guidance. Placements are the best part of AIT. It has one of the best placement record in Pune. Some people might find fees on an upside but it's totally worth it. There are colleges technically better than us. But very few colleges are as good as AIT when it comes to overall development (sports, culturally, technically, personality). Now comes the worst part. Administration is very unpleasant. You might come across a lot of senseless and absurd rules. Overall AIT life is a roller coaster ride. It seems it's been just a few days when I entered AIT for the first time. Time flies by before u even realise.

Army Institute of Technology, Pune nestled snugly near the Dighi Hills surrounded by lush greenery, situated in the lap of nature - away from the madding crowd, provides the right ambience for the teaching - learning process. It is one of the premier colleges that come under the University of Pune. A residential college offering undergraduate courses in CS, Mech, IT and E&TC. It has a young, energetic crowd. A lot of year round activities happen. So there is always buzz going around in the college. It had a special kind of tradition of mentorship which you wont find in any colleges. Usually students get placed in good MNCs. A lot of top notch MNCs visit all round the year and students get placed at a healthy rate. College has strong alumni base not only in corporate world but also a healthy amount alumnis are working in Defence Services.

Army Institute Of Technology

Siddharth
Posted on 08 Feb' 17 by Siddharth
Batch of 2019 | BE Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Army Institute of Technology, Pune (AIT) is an undergraduate engineering college affiliated to the University of Pune. AIT is located at Dighi Hills, Alandi Road area in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Only wards of army personnel are allowed admission. The admission is done through JEE MAINS exam. AIT functions under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) and has the seniormost officer of the Indian Army, the Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army (COAS), as the President of its Board of Governors. AIT offers under-graduate and post-graduate engineering courses. Under- graduate (Four year duration): Computer Engineering(120 seats), Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (120 seats), Information Technology (60 seats) and Mechanical Engineering (60 seats) , Post-graduate(Two year duration) : Mechanical Design (18 seats). All above programmes are approved by All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) and affilated by Savitribai Phule Pune University (formarly Pune University). All U.G courses are accrediated by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A Grade in 2016 and NBA. Under Graduate receives a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree & Post Graduate receives a Master of Enginering (ME) degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Life at AIT AIT benefits from its location on the outskirts of Pune in that it is not plagued by air and noise pollution and that the ample space allows for planned expansion. The largest building is the Academic Block, which houses the lecture halls, most laboratories, offices for the administration and an auditorium. The lawn in front of the Academic Block is the first view that visitors to the campus have, and is one of the preferred spots for a sit-down in the evenings. On either side of this centre are located the hostels for students and residential quarters for staff. As AIT is intended to be a residential college, the campus attempts to be self-contained and has various messes and cafés, along with a shop for common household products and an ATM of the HDFC Bank. Sports are an especially popular pastime at AIT and the campus boasts a basketball court, a cricket field, a tennis court, a volleyball court, a football (soccer) field, a badminton court (which sport, of course, originated in Pune), fitness studio, a croquet lawn and two squash courts. Indoor sports are also enjoyed, be it chess, pocket billiards or table tennis. The AIT library is open to all students and staff and is one of the most frequented locations on campus. The library has a very technical bent and, as of 2016, had 9098 titles and 29605 volumes, and subscribed to 45 national periodicals and 17 international journals. The current focus is on augmenting instruction media to include Computer Based Teaching. The campus is well serviced through public transportation links to the nearby suburb Vishrantwadi and also to the most popular locations in Pune: the University, Deccan, Main and East Streets and the railway station. The village of Dighi is a short walk away, as are the hills which lend their name to the locality.

Our college has decent infrastructure as compared to other colleges but needs improvement! College should provide regular internships to the students.College life can be more happening by encouraging students to take some important decesions of their own. Hostels are well equiped. College faculty is same as we find in our schools, teachers should be more innovative! student crowd is one of the best that you can find in a college. College is affordable to army personnels easily.

The college has just the right ways to provide industrial exposure but the thing is that it's not done with the right approach. Instead of just visiting any industry, a properly planned exposure can help a lot. College life will definitely be more happening if there were more practicals and fewer classes. For hostels, there should be fewer rules and regulations, better wifi facilities, no rector or any other official to pose any problems. There are different cultures coming in together at one place which helps in understanding our country's diversities.

Personality development and social skills/ soft skills are instilled into the students which is a must today in any field . The faculty is fine with many PhD degree holders. Many fests and functions are organized which gives the students a chance for recreation and frolic. The mess is attached to the college campus itself , and the food is very healthy and regularly examined.

Apart from being the best technical school in the country and one of the top few globally, AITP creates experiences that students don’t forget. If you are passionate about your interests and hoping for a peer group that consists of equally passionate individuals, you will choose IAITP. Students typically find something they hold close to the heart at the institute. Be it a passion for biochemistry or an addiction to semi-conductors, you can be sure that AIT will not fall short. Some of the top reasons why students choose to be part of AITP is one that most people would least expect. While the academic curriculum forms a large part of the experience at AITP, the institute also offers a number of extracurricular activities that AITP students are encouraged to participate in. This ensures that students get an all-round education and are not confined to academic achievements alone The Institute has an excellent faculty. Besides having excellent academic quality and infrastructure, the AIT-P student community is an amazing one. Over here, we have the opportunity to be anything we want to be. There are tons of sports you can learn(or develop if you're already proficient), there are student clubs for every extra curricular activity from making paper craft to directing short films. And you may even get the opportunity to manage certain fests like PACE SOLUTIONS ETc. So, on the whole, you can do a lot of stuff, make some everlasting memories and have a great experience studying here.

AIT PUNE is the best place to live for it's serenity .really awesome place with amazing people Awesome professors though sometimes extremely boring but that's how it's supposed to be . It is awesome computer service center .classroom and other places are very clean and well equipped.! The Student Activity Center or SAC is a part of the Student Recreation Zone in AIT PUNE. The SAC is for the extracurricular activities of the students. The SAC consists of a gymnasium, swimming pool, pool and billiards rooms, squash courts, table tennis rooms, a badminton court, a music room, a fine arts room, a robotics room and a committee room used to organise quizzing and debating events. The SAC also has an Open Air Theatre where concerts are hosted. Students can use the radio broadcasting facility (HAM) in the SAC although its use has declined over the years. Student bodies There are a number of student bodies in AiT, each with its own set of responsibilities. The highest student body in aitp is the Student Affairs Council (SAC). All the other student boards are included under the SAC, as listed below: Board for Student Welfare(BSW)[4] As the name suggests BSW works for the welfare of all the students of aitp. The BSW shall organise welfare activities from time to time and look in to other aspects of student welfare. The BSW shall provide financial aid to the needy students as per the decided rules.[5] BSW has the responsibility of organising Speranza, the annual youth festival of ait pune But I think hostel mess is so bad quality . This is the place where lot of opportunity with good guidance . AIT PUNE is one of the first names that come to mind when the word engineering is spoken . AIT PUNECampus is lovely The campus is completely Wi-Fi enabled. According to me there is 13 hostels each accommodating about 400 students. There is also lan internet in hostels too with approx 2GB downloaded limit per week but it stays shut during 1 to 6 am . Seniors are terrified of juniors because all a juniors has to do is raise a finger at seniors and he will be suspended sounds like fun actually . Really I love this place!# .

The amazing thrill to study in an army college

The college provides with a hostel capacity of over 1200. It also has various labs and workshop area. Has its own functioning library, an open-air cafe, and different areas given for sports. To provide better industrial exposure the college needs to arrange more industrial visits and come up with programs to somehow indulge young students into industrial processes. The college life is so cool because of its crowd. It gives all kinds of opportunities to everyone and a lot of it. Hostels are all fine but if anything its rules are too rigid and should be modified if needed. The college professors lack the skill to encourage students to make them love or at least start liking the subject. The student crowd keeps the college alive, it just never stops and is always striving hard to get better. The college is affordable in terms of the hostel and messing facilities in an expensive city like Pune.
