Admission Process 2021
CMR College of Engineering and Technology offers admission to various undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (MBA, M.Tech) courses. Admissions to the undergraduate course is done through EAMCET examination while for M.Tech candidates should qualify GATE examination. For MBA, aspirants should qualify ICET examination conducted by the Telangana State. The detailed admission processes are given below:
For Undergraduate Courses (B.Tech):
- Admission will be based on the rank secured in Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) Exam.
- Shortlisted candidates have to register for the counselling process and choose CMRCET as their preference.
- Final admission will be offered after seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
For Postgraduate Courses (M.Tech/ MBA):
- For M.Tech, admission will be based on the rank secured in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Exam.
- For MBA, the candidates should qualify Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by the Government of Telangana State.
- The candidates have to fill an online application form on the website of CMRCET.
- Admission of the students will strictly based on the performance in entrance exam, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.

CMR College of Engineering & Technology is amongst the most competitive colleges when it comes to the admissions. The following is the criteria for the admission:
70% Admissions are taken under Convener Quota.
All the eligible candidates for admission into First Year shall have to qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of Telangana. The candidates will be admitted by EAMCET Convener strictly in accordance with the rank secured at the Entrance Examination and keeping the rules applicable in view, regarding the reservation of seats of various categories of candidates
Management Quota
- 30% of the total seats will be considered under Management Quota.
- To seek admission under Management Quota, he/she must satisfy the following requirements.
- A student should either have obtained a rank or should have secured a minimum aggregate percentage of 50% in group subjects (Maths, Physics and Chemistry) in the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana or any other examination recognized by the Government of Telangana as its equivalent.
- 30% of the total seats will be considered under Management Quota.
