The college offers admissions at Ph.D, postgraduate and undergraduate level. The courses are offered in a total of 13 disciplines across all the programmes at COAET, Ludhiana. At the UG level, the college offers B.Tech only in 1 discipline. COAET Ludhiana, at the PG level, offers M.Tech in 6 disciplines and an MCA. For admissions in the MCA programme of COAET Ludhiana, candidates can apply through lateral entry as well. COAET Ludhiana offers Ph.D in 4 disciplines.

At the Undergraduate level, COAET Ludhiana offers B.Tech Agricultural Engineering. COAET Ludhiana, at the postgraduate level offers M.Tech Processing and Food Engineering, M.Tech Soil and Water Engineering, M.Tech Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System, M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, M.Tech Civil Engineering and M.Tech Farm Machinery and Power Engineering. MCA programme is also provided by COAET Ludhiana at the postgraduate level with a provision of lateral entry as well. At the Ph.D level, COAET Ludhiana provides the programme in 4 disciplines namely, Ph.D Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Ph.D Energy Science and Technology, Ph.D Soil and Water Engineering and Ph.D Processing and Food Engineering.

M.Tech Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System	Rs.1.36 lakhs	Candidates should have passed B.Tech/B.E. in Agricultural Engineering/Aerospace Engineering/Information Technology/Computer Science Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Civil Engineering/Water Resources Engineering/ Mining Engineering/Mineral Engineering/Petroleum Engineering or have Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences/Earth Sciences/ Remote Sensing/ Geo-informatics/ Geography/Geology/ Physics/ Mathematics/Computer Sciences/Information Technology/Agricultural Sciences/Forestry or B.Sc (Hons) Agricultural Engineering of 4 years with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

M.Tech Farm Machinery and Power Engineering	Rs.1.36 lakhs	Candidates should have passed B.Tech/B.E. in Agricultural Engineering/Production Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% aggregate marks.
MCA	-	Candidates should have passed BCA or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Ph.D Farm Machinery and Power Engineering	-	Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Agricultural Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Farm Machinery and Power or Renewable Energy Engineering with minimum 70% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination and 60% at bachelor’s level.
Ph.D Energy Science and Technology	-	Candidates must have a master’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 70% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination and 60% at the bachelor’s level.
Ph.D Soil and Water Engineering	-	Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Agricultural Engineering with specialisation in Soil and Water Engineering/Soil and water Conservation Engineering/Irrigation and Drainage Engineering/ Water Resources/Water Science and Technology with minimum 70% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination and 60% at bachelor’s level.
Ph.D Processing and Food Engineering	-	Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Agricultural Engineering with specialisation in Agricultural Processing Engineering/ Processing and Food Engineering/Food Process Engineering/Dairy Engineering/Post Harvest Technology with specialisation in Post Harvest Engineering and Technology/Renewal Energy Engineering with minimum 70% marks in qualifying degree examination and 60% at bachelor’s level.

The above minimum eligibility is for the candidates, other than inservice candidates and ICAR nominees. Inservice candidates who want to secure admission in the M.Tech programmes must have an OCPA of 5.50 out of 10.00 or 55% aggregate marks or equivalent at the graduation level with at least 5 years professional experience post their graduation at the said post and in the mentioned organisation. The candidates who have experience on jobs lower than the Junior Engineer or equivalent must possess a minimum OCPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 or 60% marks at the graduation level.

For inservice candidates and ICAR nominees, the minimum qualifications for admission to Ph.D. programmes at COAET Ludhiana shall be an OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 or equivalent at the M.Tech level and an OCPA of 5.50 out of 10.00 or an OGPA of 2.42 out of 4.00 or equivalent at the Bachelor’s level. Such candidate shall be an employee of PAU or Punjab Government or Union Territory of Chandigarh, having at least five years experience of Teaching/Research/Extension out of which at least three years should be after obtaining M.Tech. degree.
