The college gives high priority to academics.They offer good Learning environment and experienced faculty .But inorder to get complete knowledge one have to make extra effort by using other sources like library
College Infra
Infrastructure of the college is good even though the campus is very small.There is a volleyball ball court basketball court and a badminton court But the football ground is very small.The filter facilities are average
Campus Life
Campus Life is good if you have good friends.There are programs in college which are conducted by students.You can take part in them if you want good college life
Placements
Provide more placements to CS departments than other electronics department Need to work hard for placements. Priorities are given to high cgpa students.Should attend extra internships for getting placed

Academics
Well qualified teachers are teaching at CEC. And they mainly focus on the syllubus. And our academic curriculum is updated and they provide notes and give the assignments and tests properly. And the study makes us job-ready.
College Infra
College have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. And our college has five floors. They provide well classrooms with projector, white board etc. Libraries with books and we can use the books at anytime and all are well maintained. And there is a college canteen with good and hygienic food.
Campus Life
College campus life is very nice. They provide various opportunities for students and we can acquire more skills. NSS, NCC, IEEE, PRODDEC etc are the active units working. We can utilize these facilities our best.
Placements
Good quality of placement at our college. They provide good training for the students. About 10 lakh is the highest salary offered in the last year. So many companies visited our college and they offer nice job opportunities for students.
Value For Money
In merit seat the tuition fee is 35000 and in management seat it is 65000. The college authority provides us a well qualified education and the money is really worth.

Academics
I am currently in my final year of CSE. College has always depended upon the Computer Science Branch for the good results. Quality of teaching is good with what its currently providing, but I believe it should change. The curriculum needs to be updated to include new technologies. I won't say that the current curriculum makes us job-ready.
College Infra
The college does provide necessary infrastructural facilities, but there are few areas where I believe there is need for improvement. The computer labs need to be further improved as majority of the systems are old and need to be changed. WiFi is currently being installed in the campus, so we can expect it to start functioning soon. Every classrooms are provided with projectors for digital learning. Libraries are great with a vast range of books and journals.
Campus Life
College campus has several good things about it. The environment is very pleasant so it makes our minds calm and composed. There are areas where we can go and sit at free times. Activities includes Sports, NSS, NCC etc. An excellent IEEE Student Branch also allows us to get involved in technical activities. Students are all really friendly, teachers and support staff are supportive. Location as I mentioned before is at the heart of the town. Yes, its safe. All emergencies can be handled.
Placements
Now, the quality of placements at our college is very good. An excellent Training and Placement Cell functions inside the campus due to which the students are getting ample training in technical and non-technical areas to get them prepared for the placement drives. 70-80% students gets placed every year. Our college is one among the premium institutes considered by TCS. Other recruiters include Cognizant, Infosys, Dexlock, Quest-Global etc.
Value For Money
I am paying 65,000 per year. Yes, I feel its worth it. The college is one of the very few colleges that we would find which has all basic facilities available within 1km around it. Railway Station, KSRTC bus station, Police station, hospitals etc are all situated very near to the college. The college is at the heart of Chengannur town. Other than that, its certain that we'll get placed into some great companies if we put a little effort. stat

As per stats, Chengannur Engineering College is better in terms of placement and college life. The highest CTC offered in Chengannur Engineering College is 8 LPA.
On the other hand SJ CET is more like a school than a college with the placement slightly below Chengannur Engineering College.
