As a student who studied for 4 years for my undergrad study, the infrastructure, equipments and facilities were each state of the art and updated. We had smart boards, projectors, smart TVs, etc., the laboratories were also tech upgraded and the entire campus was clean and pollution free.
I had pursued Mechanical Engineering in DUIET as it was my area of interest. The faculty present at my department are really well experienced and imparts great theoretical education keeping in mind the practical aspects of the curriculum. Our curriculum was updated but not to up-to-the mark as compared to real world experiences and theories taught. Our learnt knowledge in this field made us job ready but at the very bottom level.
The quality of placements at my college is very poor. During my undergrad duration, only two companies came for placements for recruiting approx 8-10 students from a mass of 65. Only 3% were placed out of which some left for higher studies due to low ctc package. The highest salary offered was 14 lpa.
The course costed us 2 lacs/year. I of course didn't feel the education that I receive was worth the money spent due to non availability of practical learning during the entire course.
The campus life was good. I can rate 3 out of 5. The infrastructure, campus, environment was great and clean. The students can engage themselves in various activities from sports to music to dance, etc. at any time of the day. The staff, faculties and student support was fantastic and it made me feel like home away from home.
The infrastructure is good. One can have full access to wifi in libraries. There's smart classroom. We have AI lab,one can get their hands on robotics. The lab's are air-conditioned.And the university campus is one of its kind, it's beautiful.
The course structure-the syllabi, it's good. But there should be more practical aspect to it.Faculties are good, they are always ready to help you. They had their masters done and many are pursuing their PhD.So they have a good grip of what they are teaching.
The placement is not good.Only the ME and PE dept had campus placement-OIL and ONGC.There were no campus placement for CSE and ECE.Though some of the students got placed through off-campus recruitment.
The breakdown of fees -1st sem-60k,2nd sem-50k,3rd sem-60k,4th sem-50k ,5/6/8th sem-40k,7th sem-50k.For a technical institute with smart classrooms and AC labs the fee structure is quite reasonable.
Campus life is a lot of fun. With fests going on for every dept in the university. For DUIET, it's Auxesis(techno-cultural fest)-3rd largest fest in NE region.
The college is situated amidst the mountains and in a town having riverside. The weather is pleasant & rainy in the hometown where the college is situated, Dibrugarh, the tea state of Assam. The infrastructure is new & well maintained. The campus is very green and there is DU HUT a local "mall" to avail necessities. The Labs are updated, classrooms are digitized, Library is top-notch, hostels have WiFi, Gyms & several fields are maintained for students to have collegiate & extra-curriculum.
The faculties are very understanding and try to cover a versatile syllabus. I have done graduation in mechanical engineering, the course have been very well executed for every kind of student to grasp. Although there are aspects where courses need to be updated and more challenging.
The location of the college is a demerit as not many companies prefer to come so far to recruit students. The placement of the college is statistically increasing but it is quite low as compared to colleges in the mainland India. The students after graduation mostly apply on their own to get a job.
As the main target of the students is to get a job and the placement prospects is faulty even though the TEQIP cells provide lot of amenities. I hope it gets better.
Campus life is overall good as it is part of the university. An overall growth in mindset transpires in each student.
DUIET is well maintained and the administration is good. The hostels are kept clean and several activities take place in the college for the betterment of the students.
Yes, the college has the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The college has digital screen for teaching as well as greenboard for any convinience. Laboratories are well equipped. Do not have w dedicated sports complex. Wifi facility available (1GB per day).Labatory is well maintained. Food is good and spaces are clean in average.
I am pursuing Petroleum Engineering. I have my own interest that grew over time, living in the land rich of minerals and natural resources. Quality of teaching is okay. They don't prepare you for GATE but it is good to get a head start. The curriculum needs little refinement as it has not been able to include most of the things in a very organised manner. From the point of view if it makes me job ready i would say it doesn't one needs to prepare this thing by himself.
The quality of placement is one sided as most of the time i have seen it is only the petroleum engineering people getting the jobs from ONGC or OIL sometimes the mechanical guys but the other two departments have to wander about apply for jobs . Highest salary package was around 19Lakhs per annum offered to PETROLEUM ENGINEERING department. I have not been through any placements yet so i can't comment anything on it but as far as i habe heard yes! It is competitive.
It costs around 90000 INR per year. I don't feel i am getting what was suppose to meant as there where various other things they should have provided us apart from class-works and labs. industry visits and all were missing and i would highly recommend if it was done ASAP!
The college infrastructure is good considering it fulfills the necessities. Small issues prevail such as fans and lights not working sometimes, which does exist in every place as a matter of fact. But, the libraries and laboratories are excellent, with well maintanance and every possible facility and are definitely under-rated. Hostels are adequate and fun actually. Sports and extra-curricular activities have been a part since day one in the institution.
Curriculum is up-to-date and includes everything necessary. Teachers devote quality time in the education of the students. The students of the institution are made job ready and filled with experience both in field and off field.
As i have placements are improving but the institution needs more, deserves more and should be improvised in this matter. It's not about the students, the institution needs more exposure so that more and more graduates deserve their worth.
Value for money is something and yes the money is somehow worth it and yet the fees should be curtailed a bit because in ways it is overpriced.
Campus life is no doubt the best. Safe and secured.
This institution, although undiscovered mostly due to lack of exposure in the marketing business, is a to go on my part. It is a must go if one is looking for both academics and extra-curricular activities balanced equally.
Not all the necessary equipmentsequipment are there in our college. In practical laboratories we need some more equipments so that all the students from same branch can perform their practical individually
I want to work in a public sector. The teaching quality is good but we are not updated. It does not include all the recent developments in the respective field. Not all the students are placed ...............
The placement is not that good.Only a few students from mechanical and petroleum got placed in public sectors last year.Only a few companies visit our collage every year and it's the main problem. The average package is 1.5lakh per annum
More than 1 lakh per yr.I always don't think m getting my money's worth because only a few students got placed last year. Its a state government institute so I think the course fee per semister is too much
Yes it's safe but it can't handle emergencies. The medical facilities is not that good.Students can engage in various activities during the university week. But the medical facility available inside the campus is too poor
There should be a music club for the students who are interested to learn instruments. There should be some extra classes for preparation of gate exam from the 3rd semester.
The infrastructure of the University is very good. Very well maintained. All the classes are provider with fans, AC and smart boards. Labs are very well maintained. Students take care of all the distribute, fans etc.
The curriculum is very good and important in students perspective. The quality of teaching is very good. All the teachers are Ph. D graduate. They know how to teach. They are available 24*7 hours to solve the problems for the students. Gate classes are also held for the students which will /are beneficial for the students.
Maximum students get placed in Oil, Ongc, Infosys, TCS. A package 50-60k salary are provided to the students. 50% of the students get placed every year. Every year many of the students clear the GATE exams and get placed in good Institutions for further studies or in a good PSU companies .
The course cost per year is 30-50k. Yes, I think I'm getting the money's worth. Because all the facilities are provided with nice infrastructure, good food, gym. Better education facilities are also provided to the students. Placements facilities along with Gate clauses are also provides. Study materials are also provided.
The atmosphere of Dibrugarh University is one of the best. Studebts can enjoy everything in their life. Students are also good and well behaved. The teachers also teaches values of life, which will help the students in their life for their betterment in the life. Dibrugarh University gives the students the opportunity to showcase their talents and abilities.
It has the required lab equipments but more good ones are needed. They are all usable and well maintained with good decorum. Our classrooms are well maintained with digital boards which provides us good learning. Yes the living spaces are clean and the food is hygienic.
I am studying B.tech in Computer science. The quality of teaching is average. A bit of development is required. Yes the curriculum is updated and it makes us job ready by teachng how to be interview ready.
It's pretty good in all the four branches. College placement or campus placement in our campus comes from oil india limited, TCS, Imfosys, Nit silachar and the packages are pretty good. Yes college is quite supportive in regards of education.
It costs four lakhs 80 thousand in 4 years. A bit a feel its worth of but not much. As it is a semi government college the fee structure is a bit high over here which is a bit extra affordable in regards of some students.
The college campus is very friendly , caring and supportive in nature. They help the students nicely when in need. Yes it is safe for the location thing and they can handle emergencies too when in need.
No nothing
Eventually its good ,but we are not getting wifi (which is necessity I think) . Also some tables and chairs broken which is need to repair. And also problem comes in current.Due to that ,we unable to sit in classes
Good and teachers are always ready to help. And about gate ,i think we need more classes and importance in gate. And workshop, if it will possible then try to bring new machines because we all are technical students so we need to attached with new technology
Very disappointing about placements .Only one company used to come.we need more companies in placements. Many students are got workless after graduation due to poor placements,If we able bring more numbers of companies then it will good students.
We pay in even semester 50000 and in odd semester 40000. Sometime yes or sometime no because we are not getting what we expect from college.sometime we feel like we are paying fees more because sometime toilet and classroom are so dirty in condition.
I really like the campus of our college and actually I like the greenary of our campus which actually makes us fresh and active always. Hostel are also quite good, yes sometime we used to faced from unsuitable conditions in hostel but which tolerable.
As a whole every things is quite good but i think our college should concentrate on placements part.actually we also need a proper parking place for teachers as well as students separately. And also our college should starts teaching students for gate from 5th sem onwards. Thanking you
The infrustructure of our college is very good. It has all the necessary fecilities and equipment s like library Labs etc. The classrooms has WiFi and smart boards which are well maintained. The university is clean.
I am from the computer science engineering department. The academics of our department is ok and includes updated curriculum but but can be improved. The university makes us well prepared for jobs and placements.
The quality of placements in our college is average. It needs lots of improvement especially for the CSE n ECE departments. But the placements of the petroleum engineer department is very good like oil n ongc.
The semester fees of our college is fifty thousand and it is ok.
The college campus is very beautiful. The campus is surrounded by greenery everywhere
Dear Aspirant,
You have high chances of getting into DUIET with a score of 63.7 percentile.I am telling this on the basis of past year cutoff trends of this college. So this year the ratios may differ as it depends on the amount and quality of applicants that apply. So best of
