    My experience was pretty good.

    College Infrastructure

Dibrugarh University Institue of Engineering And Technology (DUIET) , Dibrugarh University has a very good campus. The infrastucture is also pretty good with all the laboratories well equipped. It also has a dedicated library full of engineering study materials apart from the central library of the university.

    Academics

I studied Mechanical Engineering and the mechanical engineering department is a wonderful department with a very friendly faculty. The faculty members are always ready to help the students. Seminars and activities related to the recent technological developments are held regularly.

    Placements

The placements are not that good. Only a few (just one or two students) are placed with high paying packages from the one or two PSUs that visit the campus 'almost' regularly. But if you have the right skills and knowledge then you should not worry about the campus placements because in the end, you will get what you deserve. Just don't stop trying and continue acquiring knowledge because knowledge helps you to stand up when you are about to fall.

    Value for Money

The ROI is a debatable thing. But in terms of academics and opportunities you will not be disappointed. The placement scenario can surely improve and I hope that it gets better with time.

    Campus Life

The campus life is awesome. Lots of activities are held every year and everyone gets a chance to show their talents. A techno-cultural cum management festival known as Auxesis is also held every year which is organised by the engineering students.

    Others

Every system has loopholes and there may be some loopholes here too. But the college never fails in terms of academics and opportunities. If you are willing to learn then the college will surely help you and support you in achieving your goal. But you need to push a little extra to become the extraordinary.

    College Infrastructure

The college has some necessary facilities and equipments, but it obviously is not enough for a student. There are projectors, well-informative library, and hostel. There is wifi in the hostel but it doesn't pertain to the need of all hostelites due to range problems. Living spaces are clean and the food is average.

    Academics

Studied Computer and Technology as an interest to the subject. Quality of teaching is good. Curriculum is informative but can be more updated putting more importance to the ground practical work which would be essential for companies in future.

    Placements

Both number and quality of placements have not been sufficient in the past years. Placements have been less than 10%, basically a few people. Average salary has also been low, except of a few who were recruited in OIL & ONGC. College was supportive though in any of the placement process.

    Value for Money

Course cost an average amount of ₹1 lakh per year (Hostel fees and fees for meals are separately collected)

    Others

Changing of courses for students be more relaxed and must not be just an advantage for a student with more marks in examinations. A student must be given chance to change his course irrespective if his ability to score marks in examinations.

    College Infrastructure

All the necessities are available. Smart boards and WiFi is available in the classrooms and WiFi is also available in hostels. The classrooms are clean and maintained properly time to time. Though some parts needs improvement.

    Academics

Studying B.Tech in mechanical branch. All the professors are good as well as interaction with students is kept in mind. Our courses are also updated time to time. Though practical implementations needs to be improved and more focus should be drawn in that field.

    Placements

Below average place placements. Mainly OIL and ONGC takes on campus placements. These PSU's are limited only to a few students and the rest are left to try independently for the companies. This is one major area in which our college needs to improve.

    Value for Money

Course cost per year is justified. It costs around 1 Lac per year.

    Campus Life

Campus life is very nice. Nice facilities overall. Students can work with there interests also like sports music etc. There is a health care center available also. And the location is also feasible.

    Others

My B.Tech experience was very good with out college.

    A very good overall experience.

    College Infrastructure

The college has a good infrastructure. Classroom facilities are good and well equipped but yet has more scope to develop. The living space is safe & clean and the food is good. Canteen the are available for the student near the hostels.

    Academics

I am a student of Petroleum Department. Teachers are very good and well experienced. The curriculum is up to date and include the recent developments of the sector which helps in making the students job ready.

    Placements

The placement quality is average. 40 to 70 percent students are placed in college placement or later and the highest package offered is 20 lacs per annum. The placement process is easy and pleasant and the college is supportive.

    Value for Money

The course cost 1 lacs per year. The course price is worth the money.

    Campus Life

The college campus is very much green and healthy yet the campus has good scopes to develop places for student activity. Students can actively participate in many physical sports, gymnasium, badminton and others to keep themselves engaged. Students, teachers and support stuffs are very cooperative and positive. The location is very good as it is very well connected with transportation to the dibrugarh town and very safe as well for emergencies.

    Others

Overall the University is very good for students.

    College Infrastructure

Lack of necessary equipment. Overall it's okay. Wifi isn't there, and during summer its almost impossible for the students to do class because of lack of fans. Hostels are pretty good though. Yes the bathroom could be a bit good.

    Academics

Some of the teachers are really good but some can't explain properly. And basically some teachers pay attention to some random stuff which they shouldn't. Partiality is something they shouldn't pay attention.

    Placements

Very poor placements for mechanical. Only OIL comes and they hire only 2-3. Moreover caste matters here. I couldn't even sit for the interview because I am from general category. So that's what it is.

    Value for Money

Cost per year is 1.2 lakh. Which is okay for a semigovt college. But it's not worth it. It should be less or quality should be good. Otherwise students are wasting their money.some real good stuff should be included.

    Campus Life

It's pretty good. Lots of sports activities, dance classes, music etc are there for the students so there's many options to choose from. And yeah it is safe from all the sides. There's no question about that.

    Others

Many more things can be done and can be added if they pay attention to those stuff rather than focusing on some other things. But overall it's not that bad and not that good. If you have better option then go for that.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is quite decent. Though there is obviously room for improvement. The laboratory facilities need to be improved. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards which is a plus point. All the necessary books are available in the library. Recently we have also been provided with wifi facility which is a bonus. The surrounding areas are quite well maintained. The lavatories need to be improved.

    Academics

I am currently pursuing a btech degree in mechanical engineering. Almost all the professors are knowledgeable in their own fields, though some of their teaching techniques are not quite upto the mark. There is definitely room for improvement in the practical applications of the subjects. The curriculum is updated but there is a lack of professors in some of the subjects due to which we are not able to opt for those subjects.

    Placements

The placement scenario is not upto the mark at all. Out of 50 students, about 5-6 get placed. Also, the no. of companies coming for recruitment is very less (only about 4-5 on an average) due to which we don't really get the opportunity to showcase our talents. Organisations like OIL and ONGC do visit us and also provide with a good package (about 14lpa on an average) but the no. of students recruited is very less which is the main matter of concern.

    Value for Money

The semester fees is about 50k. Though it is quite less in comparison to other private institutions, but I feel the facilities that we are provided with could improve. My main concern is the placement scenario, and secondly, the condition and maintenance of the lavatories.

    Campus Life

The college campus is quite clean and really peaceful. As students we remain under a lot of tension, but a walk around the campus really acts as a stress buster for us. There is a gym too where the students can involve in various activities to remain fit. Also, sports is given equal importance here. The student teacher relationship in our department is quite strong. We can go to any professor in our department and be sure that we would receive at least some kind of help which is a plus point.

    Others

I have already given pretty much all the details of our college. Overall it has been quite a wonderful experience in this university. The college life as well as the hostel life has been quite memorable. All the hostels are inside the university campus which ensures the safety of the students. We also have different cafeterias, stationary and other essential shops inside the campus, which is a plus point as well.

    College Infrastructure

DUIET has almost all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. There are smart boards in every class room ,the laboratories are well equipped with all the necessary equipments and there is WiFi facilities available in the hostels.

    Academics

I am studying Computer science and engineering in DUIET. The quality of teaching is up to the mark but they can update the curriculum as it doesn't include all the recent developments in the field....

    Placements

The quality of placement is quite remarkable as most of the students who got selected in campus placement are placed in some really good companies but the percentage of students placed each year is quite low.

    Value for Money

I am studying computer science and engineering and my course cost around 1.1 lakhs per year . The quality of teaching is good but its not worth the money . But with a little effort they can really work in this sector.

    Campus Life

The campus life in DUIET is really good as it promotes anti raging there is a really good relationship between the Juniors and seniors. The students can engage themselves in lots of other activities other than studies. The teachers are really supportive and due it's location it provides a really good environment to study.

My experience till now is pretty good.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of my college is overall good with appropriate facilities like libraries, hostels, sports centres, classrooms have smart boards as well. Also, the living spaces are clean and green. Canteens are food hygienic. But there is a small problem with the labs because the lab equipments are not upto the mark and are very old as well.

    Academics

I'm currently pursuing B.Tech in Electronics and Communication engineering. I took this domain because I was fascinated with electronic devices, semiconductors and ICs since my 10+2 days. But the quality of teaching is poor because only 2 to 3 faculties of my branch really teaches us the subject thoroughly. And this study doesn't makes us job ready if one student doesn't put extra effort in his study. But the curriculum is upto date.

    Placements

My college have 4 departments. Coming to the point of placement records all the 4 depts doesn't get equal share in placement. Mechanical and petroleum engineering placement records are far better compared to the other depts. This is one big demerit.

    Value for Money

My course cost per year is around 1Lakh to 1.10 Lakhs. But I feel that my money's not worth because of the teaching and placement part of academics is poor.

    Campus Life

My college life and atmosphere is great. College is surrounded by greenery all around. Different cells are created so that students can engage themselves in. Student teacher relations are good. Location is also very good with the main market of the city just 4 to 5 kms away. It's safe and has a medical center inside the campus which can handle emergencies as well.

    Others

Overall, my Institute is good for one but he/she has to be prepared that they might not be getting good placements from the college and prepare for getting good education and grabbing each and every small opportunities themselves

    College Infrastructure

As a student who studied for 4 years for my undergrad study, the infrastructure, equipments and facilities were each state of the art and updated. We had smart boards, projectors, smart TVs, etc., the laboratories were also tech upgraded and the entire campus was clean and pollution free.

    Academics

I had pursued Mechanical Engineering in DUIET as it was my area of interest. The faculty present at my department are really well experienced and imparts great theoretical education keeping in mind the practical aspects of the curriculum. Our curriculum was updated but not to up-to-the mark as compared to real world experiences and theories taught. Our learnt knowledge in this field made us job ready but at the very bottom level.

    Placements

The quality of placements at my college is very poor. During my undergrad duration, only two companies came for placements for recruiting approx 8-10 students from a mass of 65. Only 3% were placed out of which some left for higher studies due to low ctc package. The highest salary offered was 14 lpa.

    Value for Money

The course costed us 2 lacs/year. I of course didn't feel the education that I receive was worth the money spent due to non availability of practical learning during the entire course.

    Campus Life

The campus life was good. I can rate 3 out of 5. The infrastructure, campus, environment was great and clean. The students can engage themselves in various activities from sports to music to dance, etc. at any time of the day. The staff, faculties and student support was fantastic and it made me feel like home away from home.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is good. One can have full access to wifi in libraries. There's smart classroom. We have AI lab,one can get their hands on robotics. The lab's are air-conditioned.And the university campus is one of its kind, it's beautiful.

    Academics

The course structure-the syllabi, it's good. But there should be more practical aspect to it.Faculties are good, they are always ready to help you. They had their masters done and many are pursuing their PhD.So they have a good grip of what they are teaching.

    Placements

The placement is not good.Only the ME and PE dept had campus placement-OIL and ONGC.There were no campus placement for CSE and ECE.Though some of the students got placed through off-campus recruitment.

    Value for Money

The breakdown of fees -1st sem-60k,2nd sem-50k,3rd sem-60k,4th sem-50k ,5/6/8th sem-40k,7th sem-50k.For a technical institute with smart classrooms and AC labs the fee structure is quite reasonable.

    Campus Life

Campus life is a lot of fun. With fests going on for every dept in the university. For DUIET, it's Auxesis(techno-cultural fest)-3rd largest fest in NE region.
