Academics
This could be a matter of discussion. It may differ from branch to branch. But the faculties for Electrical branch is hardworking. Coming to mechanical there is shortage of regular faculties. Contractual faculties leads to insecurity and that leads to you know. Changes are required
College Infra
The college has been built on the shore of a mountain. Beautiful scenic view from rooftops. The classrooms are spacious. Seminar halls are there. Cafeteria is not there... The college is going through renovation... Some new blocks are in the construction phase. It lacks playground.
Campus Life
Mediocre... Just like any other college fests, sports, clubs everything happens over here. College lack playground. Good lab facilities. Good hostel. A wholesome experience in this college. So we need to take the best out of it
Placements
The mining branch is the eye catching branch during placement season. Competition is less for mining tbh. Coming to mechanical placement it was poor during 2022. It has changed a bit in next years. Mining has huge opportunity here.
Value For Money
If you are desperate for a btech degree. This college is one of the best ROI. Coming to placements it is completely on your own. Hostel facilities is good, food is good. Life over 4 years is definitely good. So a big yes for value for money

I am studing mechanical engineering . I am a part of automobile club and robotics club . Including our core branch studies we also study about programming , AI etc . We also go for industrial visit...
College Infra
College have all the necessary infrastructure, all the facilities are completed their phd from iit and nit. Wifi is not that much good, very good qualitie of food and library and laboratories, a little good for sports although the college had NCC.
Placements
Highest package of gce keonjhar in mining and mechanical engineering branch in 2023 is 16lpa,Average package for mining engineering is 10lpa And for mechanical engineering is 5lpa, in electrical engineering the highest package is 9lpa, And average package is 4lpa,in 2023 total 215 student are placed out of 400 student, placement percentage is 51%
Value For Money
Course cost - 1.6 lpa , Hostel cost-1.2 lpa - 1.4 lpa. So total it is nearly 3lpa . And our college avg pkg is 4.5 lpa , So it is good .

Academics
Course is according to GATE syllabus and updated to according to recent trend. Quality of teaching is good. Life is pretty hectic since classes use to be in time and Labs too . According to faculty extra classes also takes place. Special classes were also conducted for the GATE preparation.
College Infra
College is well equipped with all the basic equipments and facilities. Classes are well equipped with with smart class. College is neat and clean. Well equipped with WI-FI also and labs are well established.
Campus Life
Campus is under development phase hence campus life is little bit compromised.
Placements
Need to work on placement in core branches otherwise IT company are coming . Most of the student use to place in CS branch but in core branches placement is not that good . Very few core come company use to come in campus .
Value For Money
Since it is govt. college thus you don’t need much investment and ROI is good.

which college is better for cse government College of engineering Bhawanipatna or government College of engineering keonjhar?My home is nearer to bhawanipatna.
Dear candidate even it would be easy for you to reach the Bhawanipatna college then also Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar is indeed a better choice. This college has all the necessary facilities like hostels for boys and girls, gym, auditorium, wifi, well equipped labs, library and many more. However

Orissa School of Mining Engineering is situated in Kendujhar in Odisha. Established in 1956 It is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology.
