B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2020-01-01
Academics
under KTU syllabus the course are planned along with labs and workshops. The faculty are well experienced and helpful. A few of them are exceptional. Scholarships are provided. placement cell is very active in GEC.
College Infra
The college has fairly good infrastructure facilities. All facilities like lab, hostels, library are available. the campus has sports facilities, auditoriums, and recreational spaces for students. campus life and social life is actually nice.
Campus Life
according to me the campus life was awesome. I really enjoyed all the activities. the education was very good and the faculty were very friendly and helpful. The events and tech fest are very enjoyable.
Placements
GEC Thrissur has established a training cum placement cell to facilitate the placement of final- year candidates. The placement cell conducts a range of activities, including workshops, seminars, guest lectures, IV, GD and mock interviews.
Value For Money
Tuition fees are low. Also, various scholarships are available. the collage has a good placement record. the experience, the culture, the people, the events; everything just makes us feel proud to be part of this college.

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2024-01-01
Academics
A pretty decent faculty with a few of them as exceptional in their field of study. I’m currently pursuing B.Tech in mechanical engineering and this is the best college to learn mechanical engineering, not just for the laboratory experiments but the projects undertaken under SAE GECT is simple an experience one cannot get anywhere else in the entire state of Kerala.
College Infra
The college was established a long time back and is quite old in terms of its infrastructure, but a new block for mechanical engineering was recently inaugurated indicating that development is still being made.
The toilets are kept just neat enough and all other facilities such as labs, hostels and libraries are well maintained.
Campus Life
Wonderful campus experience is a guaranteed here. From the cultural fest to the sports day, everything is just amazing. The late evening walks with your friends, playing cricket during evenings, the tea time everything is simply wonderful.
Placements
A good placement record in our college. Currently the placement is going on for us and the highest package from our college is 9LPA from Hyundai Motors for mechanical engineering. The highest overall went to Civil engineering for 14 LPA.
Value For Money
It costs around 8000-9000 rupees semester and it’s pretty good. The money is absolutely worth it. The experience, the culture(not to mention the highlight “Ragging Free Campus”), the people, the events; everything just makes you feel proud to be a part of this college.

Academics
I studied BTech specialized under production engineering which is quite a deep and advanced course. Its a college which calls for self learning and the faculty here are well experienced and helpful so you dont have to worry about that.
College Infra
The college has fairly good infrastructural facilities. All facilities like labs, workshops with advanced machines are available. As there are governmental benefits infrastructure can be improved in a better way.
Placements
The year when i graduated placements were low compared to the other previous years. But as far as i now the highest package offered is 15LPA which is really remarkable. There will be few placement trainings or maybe you use outside sources if you want.

I scored 134.798 marks in keam entrance exam and 100% in PCM in kerala HSE board. Am I able to study the branch chemical engineering in GEC thrissur or any other similar govt colleges with this branch in other district with good standard under self finance?? Also I belongs to OBC-NCL reservation.
