Government Engineering College Thrissur provides many facilities like boys hostel, girls hostel, library, sports, cafeteria, auditorium, medical clinic, IT infrastructure, transport, laboratories, convenience store, bank, post office, etc. GEC Thrissur facilities are available for students, college staff and faculty members. The hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls students. The hostels are well-furnished and well-ventilated and provide comfortable accommodation to outstation students. Government Engineering College Thrissur facilities include a central library. The library has many resources like books, periodicals, journals, newspapers and many more. Both the students and faculty members can avail the library facility on all working days. Various indoor and outdoor games are provided by the college sports department. The college cafeteria serves hygienically prepared vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.

College Infrastructure

The college has fairly good infrastructure facilities. All facilities like lab, hostels, library are available. the campus has sports facilities, auditoriums, and recreational spaces for students. campus life and social life is actually nice.

The college is the finest in Kerala, no doubt about it.

College Infrastructure

The college was established a long time back and is quite old in terms of its infrastructure, but a new block for mechanical engineering was recently inaugurated indicating that development is still being made. The toilets are kept just neat enough and all other facilities such as labs, hostels and libraries are well maintained.

Should I opt CET mechanical or GEC Thrissur ECE for BTech?

Dear aspirant,

If you were to take my opinion core engineering placements are good only at selective colleges otherwise most of the colleges give very average placements. The average package stays between 2-3L per annum.

So, I would recommend you to go for gec thrissur ece because it's a non core branch and you will get good placements opportunities in core as well as non core domain. You will have plethora of opportunities in these branch.
