The EWS reservation system was established to give 10% reservation in direct recruitment to civil jobs and services in the Government of India for people who fall into the EWS category and are not covered by any other reservation scheme such as SC, ST, or OBC.

Economically Weaker Section is now defined as follows:
The general candidate's family's annual income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs. Their family cannot have more than 5 acres of farmland. The size of the residential flat should be less than 1000 square feet.

Yes, EWS  are for undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma- level courses.

Government Polytechnic, Karad is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. Unfortunately, this college doesn't provide diploma in food technology. It offers Diploma in six streams such as- Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Engineering.

Hi Suresh, hope you are doing well!! It's good that you are doing diploma in electrical engineering. You don't need to worry about your direct second year admissions. You just need to maintain your marks to get a good College. You can get admission in any autonomous colleges and UGC recognised  deemed universities on basis of their admission criterias and cutoffs.
