The EC-IT building houses both the Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology departments. It is a modern building that comes equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including well-equipped laboratories, classrooms with audio-visual facilities, staff rooms, student common rooms, and a library that offers a wide range of books, journals, and other engineering and technology resources.  Additionally, Government Polytechnic Rajkot also has a computer lab, communication lab, EDC lab, micro lab, sports ground, entry gate with a security checkpoint, main building, auditorium, and a spacious and well-maintained lobby area. The computer lab is used by students from all departments for practical classes and projects. The communication lab is specialised for students of the Electronics and Communication Engineering department, whereas the EDC lab provides students with the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and develop their own business ideas. The sports ground is large and allows students to play various sports such as cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball. The entry gate, main building, and auditorium are all well-equipped and well-maintained for various events such as seminars, workshops, and cultural programs. The lobby area is spacious and can be used by students and staff for various purposes such as waiting for classes, meeting friends, and studying.
