HBS Kolkata Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College offers a boys' hostel with upgraded facilities for an enriching campus living experience. Rooms are equipped with amenities like a public telephone, a TV Room, and 24-hour Internet access. Accommodation is allotted based on merit and availability.

The College to the HBS Kolkata boys hostel, the girls hostel provides comfortable accommodations with modern amenities and 24-hour Internet access. Allocation follows a merit-based, first-come-first-serve basis. Private hostels and paying guest facilities are also available nearby.

The College library is fully computerized with all facilities available online. It also has a reference section and a reading room facility. HBS Kolkata library has a collection of about 1048 titles and 9914 volumes. It subscribes to 78 periodicals/journals (National: 41 and International: 37) and Online Databases and E-journals like Economic and Political Weekly(EPW) and Sage Online.

The College excellent HBS Kolkata sports facilities for outdoor games and sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, golf and swimming, managed by a Sports Officer and a Physical Instructor. 

The College has an excellent IT Infrastructure for the students. A very high capacity Network Storage facility integrated with an automated data backup and recovery system. Network printing facility is available on a wide variety of printers such as Inkjet, Laser, Line, and Dot Matrix Printers. 

The College has an excellent cafeteria with a seating capacity of 200 persons. Multi-cuisine lunch and snacks are served in the cafeteria. A fast food restaurant-cum-convenience store is also there.

The College has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. HBS Kolkata seminar hall has a seating capacity of about 180 that is used for conducting seminars, conferences, programmes, student events and other important events of the institute. Many of the Middle and Senior Management officials from leading companies have participated in the various Management Development Programmes organized by HBS in the Seminar Hall.

The College has good networking for the alumni association. HBS Alumni associates help the graduates to be in contact with the alumni members for career guidance and growth.

The College has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members. HBS guest room provides full facilities for the members staying. It includes a proper, fully furnished room with an Almirah cupboard and other amenities.

The College has a department-based laboratory facility for the students. HBS laboratories provide a hands-on approach for its students to the practical world. It also contains a trainer and a faculty member who guides the students.

The College has a health centre with a first aid facility for the students. Sankalp Business School, Pune, has a medical centre on campus. There are nurses and a doctor who visit the campus weekly and during emergencies. The HBS Kolkata also has a first aid facility for the students and staff members.

The Motive of the HBS Kolkata placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
