Dear aspirant
As both colleges are situated in patna and are almost of the same level. If you ask according to academic and facilities it is better in igims as it is semi government college. If you ask about patients reach then it is more in PMCH than the igims as pmch is the oldest and there's patients comes from every district of bihar but patients reach is also too good for igims and it is more than enough to learn you about your subject. As IGIMS is semi government college so you will have to pay some Higher tution fee as compared to PMCH so this can be your deciding factor or otherwise both colleges are best in bihar you can choose any one of them according to your comfortablity.
You can use our college predictor to predict the best college for you:

Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well. According to STATEWISE BOND FOR NEET PG SYSTEM 2020, candidates will have to pay a penalty if they leave their pg course in midway. This applies to all pg students at both government as well as private colleges. Although not exactly predictable, the amount can vary from thousands to tens of thousands of rupees.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck.
Hello,
To predict whether you will definitely get a seat in a college is an uphill task as cut-offs for colleges change every year depending upon several factors such as-
• Number of applicants in NEET exam
• NEET question paper difficulty level
• Score of the candidates in NEET 2021 result
• MBBS/BDS seat matrix 2021
-----Though it was expected that due to higher difficulty level of examination cut-off for colleges will decrease, but it turns out students have performed exceptionally well and the cut offs for colleges is expected to increase compared to last year.
See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year.
------- It would have been helpful for us to help you with college details had you mentioned your Category and marks you have scored in NEET examination.
------ Now since you haven't mentioned your category, I would consider you as a General category candidate.
----- According to previous year data (2019) for state counseling for Bihar the closing rank for Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna was AIR 6191 and marks 607.
Considering the increase in cut off in the year 2020 and 2021 it would be very difficult for you to get IGIMS Patna.
----- Similarly according to All India Quota Counseling data for year 2020 INDIRA GANDHI MEDICAL COLL., SHIMLA closed at AIR 3061 for Unreserved Category.
----- Hence your chances of getting seat in both these colleges are very grim.
NEET 2021 Cut-off goes like :-
• General /EWS- 50th percentile
• SC/ST/OBC - 40th percentile
• General-PwD - 45th percentile
• SC/ST/OBC-PwD - 40th percentile
Marks wise cut off is as following-
• General - 720-138
• OBC/SC/ST - 137-108
• Gen PwD - 137-122
• (OBC /SC / ST ) PwD - 121-108
