If you want to get admission in IIST then you will have to qualify the JEE Advanced with a better rank. You will get IIST if your rank lies between 3000 to 4000 in general category. The marks required to get this much rank range varies on yearly

Yes, BTech final year students should be able to apply for MTech offered by IIST as the official website clearly mentions that Students who are completing their qualifying degree programme in 2018-19 will have to provide the consolidated mark list/mark lists of all semesters along with Provisional/Degree Certificate

In the present scenario, IIST is much better than other colleges. Placement is too much better than colleges. Highest Package of IIST for the Year 2019 is 12 Lac. and much more companies offered package more than 5 Lac. Average Package is Above 4 Lac.

Admission to B.Tech programmes in IIST is done on the basis of JEE Advanced scores. You will have to first appear and qualify the JEE Main exam and then JEE Advanced exam.
