At present, the Institute has well-stocked Library with a rich collection of around 17,000 general and reference books spread over all the branches of Engineering, Management and allied subjects as well as inspirational and other general knowledge books. Acquisition of books is a continuous process. The number of books will go up to 25000 in the next two years.The library is already subscribing 102 periodicals in print and about 1435 e-journals, including national and international journals and magazines, e-books covering all streams of Engineering and allied subjects.The Institute Library is computerized and planned to be housed on a separate floor covering 18000 sq.ft. The area with separate stocking area, periodical section, technical and maintenance section, Binding section and two Reading halls – one inside the main library and the other Reading Hall where the students can read their personal books.

The Sports complex has Badminton courts and table tennis tables. Resources for other indoor games like caroms, chess are also available. There are basketball courts and volleyball courts adjacent to the football & cricket ground. The students are divided into different groups which compete with each other every weekend in all sports activities.The Institution teams of Football, Basketball, Volleyball and Cricket participate in various local and state level tournaments. The sports committee also invites colleges and clubs across Haryana to improve the standard of sports in IST and also to improve relations with the sports community in Haryana.

Engineering education is incomplete without an adequate training in the laboratory - demonstration, experimentation, and analysis. The laboratories at IST are equipped, keeping in view the training for the basics of the subject and also the research and industrial requirement.
