Jamia Institute of Technology, Akkalkuwa Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has two Boys' Hostel facilities with a total accommodation capacity of 1350 students available on the campus at a walkable distance from the academic building. Each room is well equipped and fully furnished with four sharing beds. A Sanitary, bath, and drinking water facility is available in each hostel. Wardens are appointed to regulate the discipline and facilities in the hostels. Engineering students are accommodated in Boys’ hostel-2 with a capacity of 450. A mosque is located inside the boys’ hostel to encourage and develop consistency in salaah.

The College has a separate girls’ hostel with 250 accommodation capacity and is constructed with full safety and security arrangements. A full-time lady warden is appointed in the hostel. Students are not permitted to leave the hostel without prior permission from their parents, other than the college hours.

The College Campus has centralized hospital facilities for students as well as staff, the “Assalam hospital” having 80 beds, with all necessary facilities such as blood, urine test laboratory, x-ray, and all other latest facilities available in the hospital with medical counseling.

The College library is well-maintained. We have about 6924 Books and 1095 Titles, around 350 bound volumes of National and International journals. More than 35 journals and periodicals are subscribed to currently, which facilitates research in our college. College Library has subscribed to e-journals, i.e., J-GATE, McGraw- Besides this, we have a Book Bank Scheme for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Students and a Book Bank scheme for other students also on a payment basis. We also have subscriptions to multiple copies of National, regional, and local newspapers and magazines. We have a very good Reading Room, where users of the library can find calm - the total environment is conducive to reading.

The College campus has a total land area of 11.07 acres in a natural environment, where a playground for cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball has been prepared. Indoor games such as carom, chess, table tennis, and badminton are also available.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College set up a cafeteria for students as well as staff, featuring a well-equipped facility that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with cold drinks. A separate cabin is identified for Indoor use in the cafeteria.

The college has Alumni Association activities for students.

The College has a Laboratory facility. There are 1. Applied Science Lab. 2. Mechanical Lab. 3. Automobile Engineering Lab. 4. Electrical Engineering Lab. 5. Civil Engineering Lab.

The College has a well-furnished centralized guest house with all necessary facilities, with free-of-charge accommodation for parents and guests.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
