One of the prettiest college of Delhi University, surrounded with greenery which makes the environment so peaceful! It has 5 floors (including Ground floor). College has it's own gym, wifi and other things. Food quality is good. We have a huge playground, one park which has an open gym and 2 small beautiful parks! Also, there are 5/6 small rooms on each floor where we have tutorial classes, a photocopy shop and a stationery. You'll explore so many things here and definitely gonna enjoy!!
Teacher's here are very cooperative, friendly, well qualified and helpful. Jmc is more like a school. Attendance is mandatory. I'm a hindi literature student which is a 3year full time undergrad course. The faculty is so helpful. I choose this subject because of my own interest and best thing is, teachers are very concerned. There are so many competitions and events org in the dept. So many events and competitions are organised in every course and you'll def. gonna learn a lot.
Don't know much about placements but avg salary package is around 6.5LPA and highest is 15/16 LPA. Around 70% of students get placed out of those who sit for the interviews. The Placement cell is so helpful. They organise various sessions, meetings related to Placements and they also provide internships among students and conducts workshops and seminars. For more information, you can go through the website of the placement cell of JMC.
Totally worth it! Everything is top notch and the fee for BA courses is around 15-20k per year.
JMC is located in one of the safest and sanitised area. College does not have any hostel. You've to look for pg which is in Satyaniketan, Dhaula Kuan and in other areas as per your preference. We have the best crowd here and fashion taste of our girls, best. There are two metro stations near college. One is Durgabai Deshmukh(pink line) 15 min away walking dist. and Lok Kalyan Marg(yellow) 10 mins away from college through rickshaw( do come in sharing autos as they'll charge high).
There are a lot of fests, competitions that are organised in college on every day basis. Also, our annual college fest, Montage, one of the biggest fest of DU is totally worth attending. Some celebs like Jubin Nautiyal, When Chai Met Toast(band), Jasleen royal and so many of them were invited last to last year. Because of covid, not fest was organised but hope, it will now. Try to take part in max societies. I'll be fun, really. Some hangout spots: Satyaniketan, Around the campus, Yashwantplace.

I am studying bachelor's of Vocation in Retail Management & It in Jesus and Mary College. This course is 40% theory based and 60% practical. Therefore it makes us to get ready for job. They provide internship in every year which gave experience in working life
They provide every year internship that gives experience about working life. They also provide placement which help in getting the dream job. In my course last year one student got 12 lakh package which is good enough.
Their fees charge every year is 24000. They also provides seminars for getting ready for the job. So it's money's worth

Top recruiting companies like Deloitte, Wipro, ICICI Bank, EY and Brain visit our college for placements. Our college consists of a placement cell which helps students to get recruited in different companies, Even it helps students to enhance their skills.
My course cost Rs. 25000/- per year because it focuses more on practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge. I think the money is worth it we are getting more practical knowledge which is more important for development of skills.
Life is actually quite great here. Yes it’s an all girls college, which has its pros and cons! The benefit is that you get to wear whatever you want to, without any sense of judgement about it. The cons are pretty obvious. Majority of the posts here cribbed about attendance, but honestly I never faced an issue with it even though mine was in 40s every year, so it depends on your HoD. Taj CCD, Tapas, Diggin and Italian Embassy are located nearby for long breaks between lectures.
The crowd is great. But like any other DU college, JMC can be pretty boring if you make it that way. So try to audition for different societies, even if you think that you’re not quite interested in them, at least try to get into more than 2–3 of them (of course this is not applicable for dance, music or sports since these are pretty hectic) and you never know you might explore a new side of yourself.

Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
JMC college and Gargi college both are absolutely wonderful in terms of education and infrastructural facilities, they both provide highly qualified lecturers which provide student best of their abilities and also a wonderful and a calm environment for students to study in .
The placement opportunities in the JMC college for BA history, is good & around 40-50% of students get placed in top companies in the placement cell. Highest package offered to a student recently was 3,00,000 lakhs per annum and on average students get placed with a package salary of 2,00,000 lakhs annum.

Gargi college has also good placements for its BA history batch students, maximum salary offered to a student recently was 5 lakhs per annum and on average students are placed with a package salary around 2-3 lakhs per annum.
Therefore, both these colleges are very similar in terms of education and placement opportunities. Hence, they both are great and you could go ahead with anyone among them.
I hope the above information helps.
