I am pursuing my BCA here, and the academic environment is definitely one of the college's strongest points. The faculty members are highly experienced, approachable, and focus heavily on both theoretical concepts and practical applications in the labs. The curriculum is updated regularly to align with current industry standards. Teachers are always willing to clear doubts and provide extra guidance for technical projects and assignments.
College Infra
The infrastructure at JIMS is modern and well-maintained, though the campus is a bit compact compared to larger universities. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with smartboards, which makes the learning process highly interactive. The computer labs are excellent, featuring the latest software and reliable Wi-Fi, which is crucial for our coursework. The library is well-stocked and provides a peaceful environment for studying. Staying in the hostel, I can confidently say the accommodations are clean, well-managed, and provide a comfortable environment with decent mess food.
Campus Life
Campus life is vibrant and engaging. Even though the campus size is on the smaller side and lacks a massive sports ground, the college makes up for it by organizing various tech-club events, cultural fests (like Verve), and regular seminars. The student crowd is friendly, and the campus environment is very safe and disciplined.
Placements
The placement cell at JIMS is highly active and genuinely supportive. They organize regular mock interviews, resume-building sessions, and pre-placement training. For BCA, top recruiters like Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, and IBM regularly visit the campus. The average package is generally around 4 to 5 LPA, with some students securing higher packages based on their technical skills. The college also provides great support for securing summer internships.
